It's been a month since she talked with Aaryan, he did not even text her and stopped talking to her even in college. Aarna noticed that she was always down and tried cheering up her but Riya scolded her for disturbing her and since then Aarna too hasn't talked with her properly.

Akshay noticed that she was skipping meals and not conversing with any one in the home, she even stopped playing with Sahil nowadays. Akshay thought that Aaryan hadn't showed up at his home, but he was not aware of the fact that his mother was behind his absence.

Riya's exams were getting closer but she wasn't paying any attention to her studies. Its been four months since her birthday since all the gap between her and her brother has started. She was getting far from her family day by day.

Akshay started worrying about her mental health, his heart ached to look at his sister like that. He wanted to talk it out with her but she doesn't even look at him now a days.

That day Riya went to college early trying to avoid Akshay again and what she saw at college that day broke her heart completely. She saw Aaryan with a girl, he was smiling and talking with him being touchy. She was definitely not a friend Riya thought. She wanted to confront him then and there only but she forgot that Aaryan had broke all ties with her. She silently bent her head and went into her classroom.

She cried in silence again.

She did not sleep that day, she was feeling very sad. She went into the garage to her car, her brother's gift and slept in the backseat. She woke up when the workers came inside to clean the cars that day. Akshay noticed this and worried more. Riya used to do this when she was a child, If something was bothering her, she would go sleep in his car backseat.

Akshay wanted to do something, so he thought of talking with her sister once when he is done with his hectic work.

Her second-year results were out and she just passed every subject. From being a topper in the batch to going bottom in the class, Riya was going through her tough phase in life.

It was Aaryan's birthday and he invited everyone to his party even Aarna but not Riya. She heard about thus when few of her classmates were gossiping.

Riya was called into her professor's office. She was puzzled at first because she hadn't done anything wrong.

"you were the batch top ranker, what happened Riya. I wasn't expecting this from you" Her professor said and Riya just stood there looking down.

"I'm sorry sir" she said after getting disciplined by him.

"I will study hard from now on" she said this just so she could go, she didn't mean a word she said. While she was leaving the office, she noticed Aaryan again with the same girl. Aaryan looked at her and scoffed. He held his new girlfriend even more closer looking at Riya. Riya's eyes pooled at this but Aaryan was least effected.

When she went home that with her results, Simran scolded her again.

"what do you really want to do, We are spending lakhs on you and you are hardly passing your exams" Simran said. Akshay was there too but he did not say a single word. He didn't want to scold her sister who was already gloomy.

"talk for god's sake" Simran yelled at Riya after seeing how she was standing there like a statue not moving at all.

"I will study hard from now on" again she didn't mean a word she said.

"study hard? look at you. Like I believe your lies, you shameless girl" Simran said bitterly. Akshay signaled his mother to stop and she did.

Riya went into her room she started crying in silent again. She cried even hard noticing how her brother did not stop her mother at all. He doesn't like his sister anymore she thought.
