Colby's POV

"Do NOT touch that FUCKING gun." I said in the most threatening tone possible. The cop jumped back and pulled it out anyways, but instead of pointing it at Echo, he pointed it at me.
Echo was about to chime in but I gave her a look telling her to stop. She gave me a look back whispering "fine" but I could still see the flame behind those beautiful blue eyes. "EVERYONE HUSH IT." The cop yelled. He then pointed the gun back at Echo. Before i could say anything tho, Echo said "Dont." And gave me a look of reassurance. "ON THE GROUND HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK." The cop yelled. As Echo did so, Corey said "Hey man can you please stop yelling? I have a headache." The cop didn't say anything. He just looked at him then put Echo in handcuffs.

Colby's POV

After questioning we were all let go. Jake was taken to a hospital but we were on our way to pick him up. On our way to the hospital tho, Echo asked me to pull over. As we pulled over on the side of the highway, she rested her head on the dashboard. "Are you ok?" I ask her. No response. "Echo?" Still nothing. I shook her a bit. Then she looked up at me. Her cheeks were red meaning something was wrong. Even after only knowing each other a day, I already knew that. A single tear fell from her eye as the stared at me. Before I knew it, she passed out. I got out of the car as quick as I could. As I got out I noticed Sam pulled up behind us with Corey in the passenger seat. They both got out and ran up to me. "What's wrong?" Sam asked in a worried tone. "Somethings wrong with Echo." I respond in a rush. Then I ran over to her side, Sam and Corey following behind me. I open the door a pull her out. Then I sit down beside the car and hold her in my arms. She looked peaceful, yet scared even while being unconscious. We sat there for about 5 minutes before she started to stir. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked at me. "What's wrong?" She asked, her voice a little sore. It wasn't until then that I realized I'd been crying. Why was I crying? "Nothing." I say in response painting a fake smile onto my face. I helped her back into the car as Sam and Corey got into Sam's. Next stop, the hospital.
