Coby's POV

I sat there with an unconscious Sam laying on my lap for the next 5 minutes. It was torture. Not only for Sam but for all of us. Once we arrived to the hospital, I carried Sam bridal style inside. "Can I help you?" A lady behind the desk asked worriedly. "My friend keeps passing out and he's having a hard time breathing." I said quickly.
"OK. I'll have someone take him back and then I'll need you to tell me the full story." The lady behind the desk said. Just then two people came rushing in with a stretcher and took him from my arms. They laid him down and ran into the other room. "Alright. I need you guys sit down and tell me everything. OH! And my name is Dr. Khilis." The lady said.
"Alright. So basically I woke up to my friend yelling. I got up to see what it was and turns out his girlfriend cheated on him. That led him to try and commit." I said. A tear rolled down my cheek as I sniffled. This was really hard to say. I took a deep breath and continued. "I found him standing on a bridge with a gun to his head." I said, my voice cracking. Aaron placed his hand on my back. "It's ok man. He's ok." He whispered gently. I nodded my head and finished the story. "He ended up collapsing and passing out. When he first collapsed he wasn't breathing. I did CPR on him. On the way here, he kept passing out and was having difficulty breathing. And that's it." I said. It was quiet for a little bit before the nurse spoke up. "I'm so sorry that happened to you. But I promise you, we'll take care of him the best we can. You can either stay here in the waiting room or go home and we'll call you when he's ready to see you." She said then stood up. "Hey man let's go. You need some rest and I'm sure Echo is worrying." Aaron said gently next to me. It was only 3:00 p.m. so it was a little early to be going to bed but I didn't care. I needed to. I needed to forget the events from today, even if it's just for a little bit. Aaron drove me back to me and Sam's special spot so I could get my car. "Thanks Aaron. See you at home." I said before closing his car door. He waved then drove off, leaving me by myself. I walked onto the bridge and over to the gun that he dropped. Why? Why would he do this? I grabbed the gun and flipped the safety on. I then walked over to the edge of the bridge and chucked the gun as far as I could. It hit the far away water with a little splash. I never wanted to see that thing again. Ever. I walked back to my car and got in. I started it then connected my phone to it. I turned on the song "Hallelujah". It was Sam's favorite. As I drove home, tears flooded my eyes and soaked my cheeks. I couldn't lose him. I needed him. When I got home, I went straight to my room. All I needed was to lay in silence and cuddle my girlfriend. I opened my room door to see her laying down in bed sleeping. Her cheeks were red and she had a trashcan by the bed. "Echo?" I ask, gently shaking her. "Hm?" She hums and cracked her eyes open. "What's wrong?" I ask her gently. "Sick." She mumbles before closing her eyes again. "Aww hunny." I said while climbing into bed next to her. She rolled onto her back and i laid my head on her chest while wrapping my arms tightly around her. She played with my hair while I laid there. "Is Sam ok?" She asks me after a little bit. "Yeah. I think we can go see him tomorrow. Right now I just want to rest." I responded. "Ok." She said gently while placing a small kiss on my forehead. "I love you." I said with a small smile. "I love you too." She said back. In this moment, I felt safe. I needed this. I needed her. No. I NEEDED her.
