Colby's POV

Me and Aaron went back to our rooms. I walked in to see Echo sitting up on the bed with tears in her eyes. "Where were you?" She asked in a whisper. "What's wrong?" I ask her back. I sat down next to her. "I don't know." She said. I belt bad for her cause I knew exactly what she meant and how she felt right now. "It's ok." I said quietly. She laid her head down on my lap. "I don't want to be here anymore." She said almost inaudibly. "Do you want to go home?" I was fully prepared to do anything for her. Even if it meant I didn't get to see her as often. I just wanted to see her happy again. "No, Colby. I don't want to be here anymore." She said, somehow even quieter.  As the realization hit, all time froze. One second felt like 1,000. Did she really mean that? "No don't say that." I said gently while pulling her into my lap. She laid her head down on my shoulder. We sat there like that for the next hour or so. After about 40 minutes tho, she fell asleep. Aaron walked into the room. "Is she ok?" He asked with a concerned voice. "Honestly, I don't know. When I walked back in here she had tears in her eyes and she told me she didn't want to be here anymore." I said. "Does she want to go home?" He asked. "No, Aaron. She doesn't want to be here anymore." His face dropped as he realized what I meant. "Oh Echo." He said while sitting down next to me. He looked at her and a single tear fell down his cheek. He wiped it away quickly, hoping I wouldn't notice. I didn't mention it tho. "Do you mind sitting here with her? I want to try and go fine Sam before he does something stupid." I said as he looked at me. "No I don't mind. I'm actually getting really concerned about him. He's not answering his phone." He responded. "Alright." I said while carefully laying Echo down on the bed. I stood up and put my shoes and jacket on. I grabbed my phone and turned to Aaron before walking out thee door. "Make sure she's ok. Get her anything she may want. Here's my credit card." I said while laying my credit card down on the bedside table. "Just keep her happy." I said before walking out the door. I ran down the stairs and grabbed my keys. I got into my car and started it. I then turned on my phone and checked Sam's life 360. He was at our special spot. It was 30 minutes away and only a few people knew about it. I pulled out of the driveway and started heading to our spot. The silence was slowly breaking me. I was scared. Really scared. Sam has tried to do some absolutely insane things in the past, including ending his life. What if right now he had a gun to his head? I knew for a fact he always kept a loaded gun in his car. What if right now, he was dead? I tried calling him. The more it rang, the more tears fell down my cheeks. I called him 5 times before giving up. He wasn't going to answer, especially if he was dead.
