When we arrived at the hospital, they pulled her out and rushed her inside. I ran in behind them, afraid to lose sight of my love.

Me and Sam sat in the waiting room for what felt like centuries. "Cole Brock?" "That's me." I responded jumping up and running over, Sam following close behind. "Echo is ready to see you." I ran past her and then remembered I had no clue what room she was in. "WHAT ROOM IS SHE?" I yelled down the hall towards the doctor.

"311"

I ran to the elevator and slammed down on the 3 floor button. Sam held onto the railing of the elevator, panting. As soon as the doors opened I sprinted out of them.

I bolted in and looked around to see the love of my life sitting up and a hospital bed. "Echo!" I yelled happily, running over to her and instantly embracing her in a kiss.
"You must really love her." Sam said while walking in. "Yeah, I really do." I said. "Speaking of that... I know we've only known each other for a few days but I fell like I've connected with you like no other. So, Echo Rea Mathews... Will you be my girlfriend?"

Echo's POV

I woke up in the backseat of Sam's car. We seemed to be driving really fast. Then, all of a sudden, I can't breath. It's almost like someone superglued shut my nose and mouth. I looked up to see Colby looking down at me, sobbing. What was going on? I felt my chest start hurting. "Help me." Was all I managed to choke out. I heard Colby scream at Sam before blacking out again. Except I could hear everything. I couldn't move. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't do anything except listen. I heard Colby scream at Sam. Sam yelled back. More yelling and screaming happened before I felt myself getting dragged out of the car. I was layed down before the worst pain I've ever felt started happening in my chest. I could hear Sam and crying above me. He was doing chest compressions. I heard Colby start sobbing and screaming beside me. He took ahold of my hand and started screaming at me to wake up and start breathing. I wish I could but right now I couldn't do anything. I felt a pair of lips being pressed onto mine. Somebody was blowing air into my lungs. Mint. All I could taste was mint. So it was Sam. Sam was obsessed with anything minty. It felt like I took a proper breath. It felt good. Next thing I knew, everything started fading away. I couldn't feel anything anymore. My hearing was slowly fading away. Was I dying? After what felt like forever, I opened my eyes. I was laying in a hospital bed with a nurse sitting in a chair next to me, writing on a clipboard. She looked up at me and gave me a gentle smile. "I'll let the doctors know your awake." She said in a soft voice. "Thanks." I said. A doctor came in and gave me a checkup. After that he said I was all clear and asked if I wanted my friends to come in. I nodded my head and he walked out of the room. About a minute later I hear the elevator door opening and four feet bolting down the hall. As Colby ran into the room, all time froze. He looked like he'd been crying nonstop. I felt so bad. He ran up to me and embraced me in a warm kiss.
