Payakan

I sat at home, skinning fish with Neytiri and Jake "Neteyam seemed happy today and yesterday what did you two do on that walk?" Neytiri asked, looking right at me. I froze, thinking about the night before. "We just had to talk about some things he was really upset about something" I muttered, my eyes staying focused on the fish "You guys talked about mating huh?" Jake asked with a sarcastic tone giggling to himself "WHAT- um no" I cleared my throat. "We know Y/N" Neytiri said putting her hand on my shoulder "It was Lo'ak wasn't it" I said, both of them slowly nodding "Ugh I told Neteyam not to tell him!" I whined, both the parents laughing at my fit "are you guys angry?" I questioned. "heavens no" Neytiri said, Jake then butted in "Y/N I was just as reckless as you when I was your age" Jake chuckled "and the other day in that cove you fought for our son you risked everything for him if that isn't love I don't know what is" he soothed. I let out a sigh of relief "Fucking hell don't scare me like that" I said, my nerves started to calm down. I earned laughs and chuckles from Jake "just make sure you keep this a secret about it for your own ask you know how quickly things spread" Jake warned before he turned back to his fish "Yea I do" I sighed quickly going back to my fish. 

It was noon and we heard yelling coming from further up the village, I went to go check when I saw my mother yelling at Tsireya, Lo'ak, Aonung, and Neteyam. I paced my way over to the house  "Hey what's going on" I said as I looked around the group "Your little forest friend bonded with the outcast" My mother shouted "does it look like I'm talking to you Ronal" I snarled back giving my mother the death stare. "Lo'ak is this true" I looked at the slouched boy, but he stayed silent "Lo'ak is it true" I asked again grabbing onto his bicep, he nodded before he looked at me "but he isn't an outcast either he isn't a killer!" he protested. My father interjected into the conversation "Sit down" my father said calmly, I pushed Lo'ak down before I lowered myself "SIT DOWN!" He shouted, I flinched at the loud noise, and I yanked Neteyam down by his hand earning a slight yelp from the boy "Careful" he said as he smirked at me "I'm not in the mood now listen" I said, letting go of the boy's hand. I could see that he was angry now, out of the corner of my eye I watched him side-eye me and Lo'ak. "In the days of the first songs the tulkun fought amongst each other for territory and revenge" I remember hearing this story as a small child, it was like a bedtime story for the Metkayina "But they came to believe that killing no matter how justified only brought more killing so all killing was forbidden" my father rambled on "this is the tulkun way Payakan is a 'killer' so he is outcast" I looked at Lo'ak he had that same pissy look he wore almost all the time. "I'm sorry sir but you're wrong" Lo'ak finally spoke, "Lo'ak you speak to olo'eyktan!" Neytiri whispered and shouted from behind us. "Lo'ak please just shut up and let us go hom" I said pleading with the boy, my nerves were spiking "No I'm going to speak up for Payakan he's my brother" Lo'ak retorted as he looked at me, anger filling his face "He is nothing of the sort" My mother finally opened her mouth "Shut it Ronal stay quhiet in your corner" I yelled "Do not speak to me like that I'm your-" I cut the bitch off "what your my mother I thought I wasnt going to be your child anymore huh what happened to that" I stood up, slowly walking towards my mother "You do not get to say things in this house then you are just a villager" She said as she too a step forward "I'll say what I damn please now leave Lo'ak the fuck alone he doesnt need nor want your bitchy imput" I snapped at her and argument was soon to break out "Y/N please tone it down" My father said "No she wants to be a fucking cunt I'll treat her like one anyway back to you shut up before I smack you in the mouth Lo'ak is sharing his side of the story" I hissed,  I went to sit back next to Lo'ak before I heard my mother speak up "you called me greedy and yet you choose to protect a forest boy just because you want to fuck his brother" she laughed, my blood began to boil and thats when everything changed "You know what fuck you if I just wanted to fuck him then why would I be fighting so much for him if I wanted to just fuck him I would be mated to Rotxo right now which by the Rotxo now refuses to talk to me but thats besides the point I am with Neteyam because I love him not because he's pretty but because he cares he has a kind heart he is a warrior who will fight until he draws his last breathe he is like no one else i've ever met here because unlike the men here he isnt focused on himself he puts others before him and the only other men I know that do that are Aonung and dad" I ranted on and on about the matter. after about 5 or 6 minutes of me ranting I had finally finished, I looked at my mother and father "Now that I've got that off my chest your going to listen to Lo'ak with no interventions now if you'd excuse me I'm really tierd and I'm going to go home" I walked off, I stormed my way back to the house and over to Me and Neteyam's bed. I flopped onto the bed and I was quick to get under the covers. I curled up into a ball and just laid there, I wasnt exactly tierd but at the same time I was exhusted. for a couple minutes it was silent peace came over me but that was quickly disturbed by the yelling that was coming from Jake and Lo'ak "Dad he isnt a killer!" Lo'ak shouted desperatly trying to convince his father "No Lo'ak why cant you just sit and keep your mouth shut! or better yet just act normal do what your fucking told for once" Jake roared "You cant follow simple insructions Lo'ak Neteyam can do it why cant you" Jake contiued, thats when Neytiri and Neteyam stepped in "Ma' jake calm down" Neytiri soothed "No Neytiri our son cant be fucking normal I asked one thing of you Lo'ak ONE FUCKING THIS AND YOU CANT EVEN DO THAT" Jake contiued, I sat up to see the entire family except for Kiri and Tuk, I made eye contact with Lo'ak his eyes wear teary and sad. I got up from the bed going over to Neteyam who now stood inbetween his brother and father "Father dont yell at him I allowed it to happen so if your looking for someone to yell at yell at me" Neteyam sighed looking straight at his father "No you butt out of it" Jake said harshly "No dad I'm not Lo'ak has been feeling like shit and you yelling at him isnt doing it any fucking good" Neteyam said sternly "The fuck did you say to me NEVER FUCKING SWEAR AT ME" Jake bellowed "Alright out! Lo'ak you to come on" I said as I gathered Neytiri and Lo'ak pushing them outside. I looked back at Neteyam, I tilted my head pointing it towards his dad, Neteyam simply nodded and so I left with the others. I walked up to them, the yelling slowly getting harder to hear. We had made our way up the beach, just far enough so we couldnt hear the yelling. I watched Lo'ak sit on a rock curling his knees up to his chest "Hey Lo" I said as I sat next to him nudging his side with my elbow "Hey Y/N" he mumbled as he wiped his eyes. "So Neteyam said... well shouted that you didnt feel ok you wanna talk about it" I suggested as I looked at the boy "no I- well kinda" he stuttered. I pushed the two braids that laid infront of his face behind his ear, now being able to fully see his face properly "You can always tell me Lo'ak I trust you so you can trust me" I smiled rubbing the boys back slowly "I said the same thing to Payakan" Lo'ak giggled "great minds think alike you know" I chuckled wrapping my arm around him "I dont have a very great mind though" Lo'ak looked at me with sad eyes, he slowly looked away "hey you know your dad didnt mean it" I said to the boy trying to comfort him "he was just angry my dad does the same thing you know" I kept my eye on the younger boy making sure no tears were falling "Once he said Id never be Tshaki because I was to reckless and stupid even the great and kind Tonowari can be mean everyone" I rambled on until I noticed Lo'ak smiling "What?" I asked smiling now to "You and Payakan would like eachother your both pratically the same person" Lo'ak laughed "Hey speaking of Payakan I'd love to meet him maybe tommorow you could take me out to him?" I asked "Definatly" he smiled looking right back at me "Hey guys it's time to go home" Neytiri called out as she waved over "Come on lets go lil bro" I teased "Ok... ILL RACE YOU LAST ONE DOES DISHES FOR A MONTH" Lo'ak said as he bolted "GET BACK HERE SKXAWNG" I yelled back chasing after the boy.
