The Grove

 "Y/N... I need to tell you something" I feel the sand next to me shift, I look at Neteyam to see he was already looking at me. "Yea what's up" I tilted my head propping myself up on my shoulders. "I... I really and I mean REALLY like you" I paused for a minute "Neteyam..." I whispered "I know you thought we were just friends but I do like you Y/N ever since I saw you I couldn't stop myself, you were so kind and gorgeous and I just... I love you Y/N" He Stumbled to find the right words to describe it. "Neteyam I... I love you but we- we just can't be together" I felt tears fall off my cheeks, and I watched as he sat up enveloping me into a hug "Y/N it doesn't have to be a public thing I know your mother and you aren't having the best relationship right now and you're not in the right position" He whispered as he stroked my cheek wiping the tears from my cheek, "and what happens if it gets out then what?" I looked at him. I truly wanted to be with him but I was the outcast of my family and I'm meant to be the next Tshaki. "I'll protect you, ok I mean my whole family will" I heard him quickly respond. "Tey I just don't know about this It's too risk-" I was cut off by his lips, I melted into his touch just like always, over this past month I have grown to love the man Neteyam had become. After a couple of seconds the kiss ended "You need to stop worrying ok" he soothed grabbing my hand "Oh shut up Skxawng" I retorted quickly putting my head down trying to hide my face from him "no Y/N look at me, please?" He placed his hand just under my chin forcing me to look at him "there you go... Look Y/N I'm not forcing you into anything but please at least think about it" I watched as his expression softened, "I see you Neteyam..." I slowly leaned in, kissing his cheek, wrapping my arms around his neck, and holding him close. "I see you Y/N and I love you" 

                                                                                  -TIME SKIP-  

We sat in the grove for a couple of hours, until we heard Kiri... yelling? me and Neteyam rushed hand in hand over to check out what happened. "Don't touch me" I watched as Aonung and his knucklehead friends teased Lo'ak and Kiri. I let go of Neteyam's hand as we both stormed over, "AONUNG GET OFF HIM" I yelled the sound of my voice booming through the beach. I watched as he turned around to see me "Ahh look who's here to save the day my sister and her jungle boyfriend" his friends chuckled and sneered at the comment. Before I could wack the boy I watched as Neteyam pushed my brother "Back off... now" the boy placed a finger on my brother's chest pushing him back a little. "Ahh, big brother coming to" I heard one of my brother's friends jeer quickly being brought to a stop by Aonung, before he quickly looked around the circle giving them a look "Alright we surrender" I watched the scene as my brother raised his hands walking away slowly. "Smart choice" Neteyam muttered making sure they were all looking at him "and from now on I need you to respect my sister" I slowly walked over to Lo'ak before grabbing his arm and dragging him over to Kiri. "Neteyam let's go" I called watching as the boy turned on his heels. We took 2 steps before we realized Lo'ak had turned around to face the large group. "Lo'ak" Neteyam called to the boy trying to get him back to the group. "I got this bro" Lo'ak strutted down the beach finally reaching the group of boys. "Y/N get Kiri back home please" I looked at the boy shocked at what he had said "You think Im gonna miss out on a fight" I chuckled, and a light scoff came from the boy as I made my comment. Soon we heard a thud and yelling coming from Lo'ak's direction "I take my eyes off him for a minute" Neteyam sighed disappointed in his younger brother "Do you wanna step in or should we leave it". Neteyam scratched his hairline, cringing at the scene "stay back ill stop it ok" he stated quickly bolting off to the fight, "so you guys like a thing now" I heard Kiri whisper. I snapped my neck towards her "No- well yea maybe" I muttered I knew I could trust Kiri with my secret. She hummed in response turning her full attention to the fight that had quickly become a toddler fight. "Alright break it up" I felt a slight sting in my nose before I felt liquid fall trickle down my face, "Oh my god I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hit you Y/N I-" for a moment everyone checked to see what happened "go home ALL OF YOU" I yelled getting the attention of everyone, I grabbed Aonung and Lo'ak by the ear quickly handing the forest boy over to his brother "Get him home Ill stop by to check on you guys later," I said throwing Lo'ak at Neteyam. 

The minute me and Aonung got home I scolded him "You are the eldest son of the chief and yet you act like a child! you were supposed to welcome our guests not make the all bloody and bruised" I traced back and forth trying to not slap the boy "they're freaks Y/N the whole lot of them! It's not my fault you are in love with them or something" I stopped in my tracks turning away from the boy "get out now" I said walking towards the boy and ushering him out. 'What am I going to do with him?' I thought as I watched him dive into the water. I sighed remembering Lo'ak and Neteyam "Those knuckleheads" I giggled remembering the fight that happened moments ago. I rushed over to the Mauri to be met with the 2 boys getting a scolding "Y/N! can you tell my dad that it wasn't my fault" Lo'ak grabbed my hand quickly propping me in front of Toruk Makto, "It truly wasn't his fault, My brother is to blame me and my father will deal with him but please these 2 did nothing" I explained looking a the 2 jungle boys then back to Jake. "Y/N I understand you're just trying to protect them but they need to be told off," Jake Sully said turning back to his children "Go apologies to Aonung now" I was shocked, Lo'ak tried to fight back but he was soon cut off by his father once again "Go now Lo'ak Im not gonna say it again". I stared in disbelief at Lo'ak as he scurried out of the house.
