Peter seemed like he ran away but in reality he only acted like he was scared so that he could get the goblin soldier away from everyone especially Natasha since after all unless you're Norman Bates what kid would let his own mother get killed and since he was his target, it made sense to get him to go after him but he also had another reason
"If I can get to the lab then maybe I can reload my web shooters and maybe find out where there keeping my dad's suit but then again when they found Captain America when he was frozen they got rid of the outfit he wore during World War II so it's not a possibility that it got buried with him" Peter said to himself as he hid in the building's air ducts knowing that was a place that a lot of people would often hide or least he thinks so
"You can't hide from me forever" said the Goblin Soldier
"Oh that's what you think?" Peter said to himself as he was looking at the guy while crawling through the vents on his way to the lab but also kinda freaking out since the goblin soldier could still find him but after a while managed to get to the lab and found some extra web cartridges for his web shooters but he had to quickly reload them as his spider sense was going off like mad and it was starting to hurt as it was getting faster and faster and faster until Peter leaped into the vents again and once again attempted to say hidden
"Damn kid, it was hard enough killing the brat's aunt and uncle but this is just ridiculous, no one can stay hidden this long" said the Goblin Soldier, upon hearing this Peter was shocked, the goblin looking for him was the man who murdered his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, he took his family away from him and now knowing this, not only was Peter upset, he was furious and so he swung from the vent and kicked the Goblin Soldier right in the face
"It was you, you killed them" said Peter who was angry
"Do you overheard me, didn't you, yeah I did it and maybe if you were there then maybe they'd still be alive but here you are hiding like the insect you are and thinking about how you don't want to be a hero like mommy and Daddy, you'd be amazing and maybe even spectacular but instead you're nothing more than a pathetic child" said the Goblin Soldier and suddenly without any remorse, Peter charged at the Goblin Soldier with unbridled fury, as he went at him punching and kicking him throughout the building almost like he was going to kill him as whatever this feeling Peter had, it definitely wasn't something Peter hadn't felt before
"Woh Kid stop, few more hits like that and you could end up murdering me" said the goblin soldier but Peter didn't listen as he pulled him towards him with his web and processed to beat the living hell out of him but before he could continue, he saw something in the Goblin Soldiers eyes, it was fear, the fear of the darkness that Peter had revealed to him as even though this was the man who killed the people that raised him, he felt something else, a sense of guilt even as maybe he does kill him, Ben and May are still gone and so Peter stopped as various SHIELD Guards as well as Natasha and Coulson Arive and see Peter with a sense of ambivalence on his face.

A cold blank stare of nothingness, a look that Natasha recognized this look as this was a look that she has had many times before and now seeing that her son also had that side of him was horrifying to her as Peter almost had blood on his hands before he stopped and as the guards take the beaten Goblin Soldier away, one of the guards looks at Natasha
"He's definitely your kid alright" said The SHIELD Guard and so Natasha walked up to Peter
"Peter" Natasha said to him
"What I almost did, is that what you mean by red on your ledger, something horrible and unspeakable that will haunt you for the rest of your life" said Peter and so Natasha hugged him.
