Chapter 22

Later

Peter sits alone terrified by what he almost did
"I nearly killed someone" Peter said repeatedly as he looked at his hands, feeling the horror of almost taking a life, while he had no desire to become a superhero, he knew know that someone like him couldn't even be one
"I'm no superhero, I'm no Spider-Man" said Peter and then Natasha entered the room holding a box, she placed it on the table and sat on the bed
"Peter, are you okay?" Asked Natasha
"I don't know" Peter replied
"I know that feeling, the dread of nearly taking someone's life" said Natasha
"But I wasn't raised to a be a killer" said Peter
"I spent my life as a killer ever since I was a kid, at first I felt nothing as it was nothing more than a job, it wasn't until I met your father and Barton that I began to feel the horror of what I've done" said Natasha
"Does that feeling ever go away?" Asked Peter
"No It doesn't but I've managed to live with it and I know you can't which is why you need to be better, a better person who can do the right thing, as your father used to say With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" said Natasha
"Those were the last world's Uncle Ben told me before he died" said Peter
"But your father and your uncle weren't the greatest People but they knew when to do the right thing and I hope you make that choice yourself Peter" said Natasha as he hands him the box
"What's all this?" Asked Peter
"It belong to your dad, I figured that you'd like to have it" said Natasha
Peter looked through at and saw all of his Dad's old Spider-Man equipment even his own Action figure which Peter found Weird but kinda heart-warming at the same time and after enough digging he found something he was looking for, what remained of his dad's suit and his mask which has seen better days but seeing all of this was a surprise to him
"Wow, I've only seen this on Tv and in Photos but to have this in my hands in real life is amazing" said Peter
"I'd known that would cheer you up so what are you going to do" said Natasha and Peter got an idea.

After Natasha left, Peter took what was left of the suit as well other materials such as various SHIELD Uniforms and even some of his own ideas and made a whole new suit which he later put on albeit without the mask which he needed to fix but in reality it only needed some cleaning, he looked at himself and saw someone else, he briefly saw his father and then he finally saw himself
"Okay I think I'm ready" Peter said to himself and after some serious and resewing, he put the mask on with the lenses calibrating to his eyes and finally he looked at himself again now not seeing his father or himself, he saw Spider-Man and now he had some determination rather then fear or ambivalence just then a Alarm goes off and he runs to the main room where a large Screen is located and sees the Green Goblin addressing the SHIELD Agents as The city was being attacked by Goblin soldiers
"Surprised to see me again, You thought I was dead didn't you now I'm going to make this incredibly simple, I will destroy the city with you do not give me Peter Parker, if those orders aren't met then say goodbye to Neo Tech City" said the Goblin as the Transmission cut out and Peter ran knowing that this is his fight and his fight alone
