I gave her a day time to adjust and all that but all I hear is some slamming noises. She is purposely closing and opening the door too loud. Not to mention she's been roaming the entire house wearing heels. Trying to irritate me.
But it's time for some talks. I know she won't just come here if I ask her to come. So I call her cellphone but it's ringing near the couch.
I take the phone in my hand. The same name she had used to save my contact years ago.
"What are you doing with my phone?" She snatches her phone away from me.
"I though you would named me Bustard."
"Never mind you are." Fucking bustard. She mutters.
"I heard that."
This time she mouthed jerk.
"Tell me if anyone has access to your apartment." I question her.
"No."
"Are you sure?"
This time she looks at me. Her pupils dilated.
"Stacy." She panicked.
"Stacy had my keys."
"Had?"
"She's in Canada now. She can't do this. Right?" She asks me for confirmation.
"Time will tell."
"No, she is my best friend. Just because you can't catch the culprit you can't blame her Rey."
"She won't do this. Any of this." She is breathing heavily.
"Calm down. Call her now. Face time her."
"It's late night there."
"Just. Call. Her."
Eve dial Stacy's number. She picks up within a minute. I am in front of her listening the conversation.
I noted down a few things.
1. She was all dressed up but in Canada it's 3:00 am. She told Eve she had a late night party.
2. She could recognize Eve wasn't at her own house.
Is Stacy the real criminal? But this case can't be so easy, right?
