It's been raining for long. But not enough long since I was trying to get some sleep. I can't seem to get her out of my head. God, why? I shouldn't have treated her that way in th. .

My phone has been ringing so I answer it.
"SSA Kingston speaking"
"Hello!" came from that side at the same time. It's her.
"Why did you call?"
"Hello, Eve?"
"Eve, are you listening? "
The call got disconnected. Shit, is she okay? Did something happened to her? I immediately call Sean and asked him to text me Eve's address. Eve must have called me from the card I had given her earlier.

As soon I got the text from Sean I went for my car. It's raining too much but I can't wait. What if she is in some kind of danger? I should have provided her security. I messed up. I messed up.

It's too dark and the roads are sloppy. It's still raining. It took me 30 minutes. I hope she is okay. My heart is pounding too fast. I am completely drenched as I got out from the car.
I press the calling bell. Twice. Still no response. God please keep her safe. As I am about to press the bell for the third time the door opened. She opens the door.

"Rey?"

"You okay? Are you hurt any where? Did something happen? Was there someone?" I place my hands on her shoulder to check if she is okay. She looks at me with confusion. Realizing what I'm doing I step back.

"Is something wrong, Re... Officer?" she asked. Hell does she know what was going with me.

"Is something wrong?" I mock. "You chose to call me at 2 am in the morning and went silent? Do you have any fucking idea what I..... " I stopped.

"I'm sorry. I called you to inform you something but my battery died even before I could talk. I thought you didn't hear me so I didn't bother to call you again after charging."

"Your phone always die when you have to call me. Huh?" Shit. I shouldn't have said that. Realization hits us both.

"Did you.. Did you come here for me?" She asked. Her blue eyes turned almost dark blue. It always happens when she shows emotions .

"What did you wanted me to inform?" I ask her avoiding her previous question.
