"Sir, Arthur Parker is here. The chief is calling you inside"

I knock the door before entering.
"Here are you SSA. We're waiting for you." says Cheif Harrison.

"Mr. Arthur wants to know the progress about the case. I have reassured him that the case is in the best hands. Right Kingston?"
I nod. Why do I feel Arthur is here for another reason?
"Who killed my son Officer?"
"I'm sorry. We haven't found out yet."
"It's been two weeks. Two fucking weeks and yet you couldn't catch him? Is that all what you got? Harrison, I'm sorry is he actual your best officer?"

"I'm sorry Sir." Cheif apologies on my behalf.

"Mr. Arthur. I know it's been 12 days since we found the body and fourteen days of your son being dead. We are working on the case and we've also made progress but we can't disclose that now. We're sorry for your loss but it would be appreciated if you could control your temper."

"Who are you to tell me what to do or what not to do? Do you have any idea what can I do? One phone call and you're fired."

"A jobless life would be better than catching the culprit of a manwhore."

"How dare you?" He barks.

"Mind telling me where did he learn that? Any history?" I smirk like a jerk.

He struggle with his answers.

"Harrison get him out of here. Otherwise you won't like the consequence." He left.

"You could have control yourself Kingston. You know what kind of person he is."

"I'm sorry sir but he was stepping out of his line."

Mr. Harrison receive a phone calls and answer it.
He looks at me. I know what's he gonna do now. This things always happen.

"I think you should take a break." Mr. Harrison says meekly.

"Why don't you fire me instead?" I had enough of this.

"Look Reyzel. I know what you're capable of and this department needs you. But you have been working continuously. You have always helped us solving important cases. Even those which were almost impossible. But I think you need a rest. Take a leave of a few days. Eat sleep enjoy."

I don't say anything. I keep folding and unfolding my hands.

"You're still a part of this case. If anyone can solve this it's you. Just let the thing cool down."

I never felt so helpless. Life just going down and down.
Wreck and havoc.
Solitariness and regrets.
Pain and miseries.
