Today was the big day. Well for my mom really. She was getting married and she seemed like a huge mess trying to make sure everything was to be ready for today. Everyone was running around trying to get ready while I just sat there. No I wasn't ready but I knew how to get ready in a timely manner. I stood up and walked into my room. I nicely did my makeup and hair before slipping on my dress. Any minute now Grayson was going to arrive and I ran around hectically trying to find someone to zip up my dress. But to my luck everyone was too busy getting ready. "Ding dong" The doorbell rang and I ran into my room zipping the dress up halfway before trying to tame the beast I call hair.
"Hey" I heard Grayson speak making me smile and turn around. "Can you zip up my dress?" I asked and he nodded as I turned around. I heard the dress zip and thanked him. I quickly finished my hair before turning to face him again. He looked pretty good in a tux. "You look beautiful" Grayson spoke making me blush before fixing his tie. "You don't look to bad yourself" I said and kissed his cheek. "Time to go" I heard faintly downstairs. "We have to go" I spoke trying to pull him out of the room. He wouldn't budge. "Your going to make us late" I spoke. He pointed to his lips and I blushed. I quickly pecked his lips before pulling him downstairs.

The wedding was about to start and everyone was running around franticly just like back at home except there were even more people. "Are you ready?" The wedding planner asked walking over to Grayson and I. I nodded and she handed me my bouquet of flowers. "2 more minutes" She yelled running to go help someone who was trying to fix her hair. Grayson took a long nervous sigh and I grabbed his hand giving it a squeeze. "Thank you for doing this" He smiled. "I would kiss your cheek but I don't think the wedding planner would be too happy if you had lipstick all over your cheek" I spoke and Grayson looked around to find the wedding planner. "Would you think she mind if it were a peck on the lips?" He spoke flirtatiously.
I leaned in and our lips were about to touch when the sound of someone's voice made us jump apart. "Don't wreck your lipstick" It was the wedding planner. Grayson and I looked at each other for a second before we broke into laughter. "Yeah, I think she minded" I heard Avery speak as her and her date got in line behind me and Grayson. The music started and I hooked my arm in Grayson's giving him a smile before we stepped out onto the isle. Everyone was looking at us making me nervous as I continued to smile walking pace by pace. Grayson dropped me off at the altar and walked back to his seat. I was quickly joined by Avery and then little flower girl Sophie. Just as my mom walked out and onto the isle I looked over at John.
He looked like the happiest man on earth. I was happy for my mother. She finally found someone who loved her more than could be explained in words. I looked at my mother walking down the isle and she had the same smile. I'd like to call it the love smile because it showed how much they really did love each other. Its as if the love smile was contagious because I began to smile. Maybe it was the fact that my mother was so happy that it made me happy or maybe it was because one day I wished that I could smile at someone like that. I quickly looked over at Grayson and his eyes turned to mine making my stomach explode with butterflies. Was this what true love felt like? I really hoped so. My mom reached the podium and we all turned to face the pastor.
~We ran out the church doors after the newly weds and stopped at the stairs. My mother threw the flowers at our group of girls and people pushed and shoved to grab it. I smiled when everyone pulled away and there was Avery with the bouquet. "Looks like you have to get married now" A man about Avery's age said walking up to her. She smiled and blushed before they walked away and back into the church. "Hey" I heard Grayson's voice from behind me. I turned and smiled. "Can I have the first dance?" He asked holding out his hand for me to grab. I smiled wide before pulling him back into the church but a different room where the reception was being held. We walked to the middle of the dance floor before a slow song began to play.
I placed my arms around his shoulder and he placed his on my hips as we swayed to the music. "You know the look John and my mom were giving each other?" I asked Grayson and he nodded. "I want someone to look at me like that" I spoke placing my head on his shoulder. "Someone already does" He spoke making me look back up at him. "What do you mean?" I asked completely oblivious. "Delilah, I love you" He spoke making me smile even more. "I love you too Grayson" His smile widened even more and he kissed my lips. It wasn't a peck, it was filled with love and adoration. He pulled away and kissed my cheek before I placed my head back onto his shoulder and we danced the night away.
