'Should I do it? I should, right? I don't want to disturb her.' (Y/n) was practically burning holes into the back of Celestia's head from staring at her, debating on whether he should ask for her forgiveness. 'She looks like she's become much more reserved and maybe even colder.'The thought of getting yelled at was making him shiver. Not in a good, but an extremely bad way. 'She definitely seems like she would start screaming her lungs out if I even tried to get closer to her. Or maybe not. Maybe she's the type for a calm argument.'
He imagined the scene. Yes, she would definitely stomp him into the ground, while only using her calm and collected voice, not having to lift a single finger. The (h/c) haired male shivered once again. What a scary sight. No, maybe he should wait just a little bit longer.
'Shame on you, (y/n). You were the one that messed up and now you're refusing to face the consequences. Are you really that worried about what your new classmates might think about you? F-ck their opinion. Just get up from your seat and walk over to her!'
Maybe it was just his imagination, but he was sure about one thing: A small devil had just appeared on his shoulder, telling him to pull himself together. 'I must be going crazy. I thought things like these only happened in movies. Or I'm really just loosing my sanity right now.'
Taking another glance at his shoulder, he noticed that the small figure was already long gone. Great. Even his imagination was making fun of him. 'My guilt is making my mind go crazy. I have to apologize as soon as I get the chance. And the courage.' His shoulders slumped down slightly.
'What's wrong with me?! After witnessing just how much my guilt is making me act up, I still can't bring myself to do it! Ugh, my ancestors would probably be disappointed in me.' That thought made him smile slightly. 'Hah, what a silly thing to think, hm?'
Makoto turned around to Kyoko. "Don't you think that (l/n) is acting strange? He has been staring at the back of Celeste's head for how long exactly?" The Ultimate Detective glanced at a nearby clock. "Eight minutes and twenty seconds. And yes, I do think that he's acting strange, Naegi."
"Shouldn't we do something about that?" She shook her head. "Trust me, Naegi, we shouldn't do that. If there's a problem between these two, we shouldn't try to intervene. It's something that they must take care of themselves." He nodded. "I guess you're right, Kirigiri. I just feel a bit bad for (l/n)."
Her purple eyes wandered towards said student. "You feel sorry for him? Why is that?" She sounded genuinely confused, staring at the (h/c) haired male. "Well... Doesn't it look like he's sorry for whatever happened to the relationship the two of them had? I think it does."
"The relationship the two of them had? I don't think they even knew each other that well." Her words caught him off guard. "What do you mean? Don't you think they used to be friends?" Kyoko shook her head. "No. I don't think they were acquainted at all."
Makoto thought about it for a few seconds. "And... Why do you think so? I mean, you're a detective, I won't doubt your thesis at all, but..." "I know it might be hard to grasp. Have you noticed the small glares that Ludenberg keeps throwing at him?" His eyes widened. "What?"
