"Ludenberg?" While everyone was grabbing their jacket and belongings from the wardrobe, (y/n) decided to approach the Ultimate Gambler. A little bit surprised, the black haired female turned around to meet his gaze. "Yes, (l/n)?" The tension between them was finally gone, at least enough for them to have a normal conversation.

"I wanted to thank you once more for the beautiful gift. I was really touched, if I'm being honest with you. Also, I didn't expect you to actually give me something." His words made her smile just a little, which caught him by surprise. "There's no need to thank me." She sighed.

"It is your birthday, so of course I would buy something for you." He nodded. "Still. That was extremely thoughtful of you. I haven't been gifted flowers before this." Grabbing her own jacket, Celestia shrugged. "Well, many people are hesitant about buying flowers." (Y/n) tilted his head to the side.

The black haired female noticed his confused expression. "Most of them wilt rather fast, so it is understandable that a person would prefer a lasting gift." At that point, it was only the two of them in the small restaurant, as the others had already left. "Ludenberg, I..."

The (h/c) haired male stepped towards her, gently grabbing her wrist. "I want to apologize once more for what happened back then." "Are you still holding onto it? It was bad, yes, but let it go already." She knew it was ironic coming from her.

"I know, yet I can't help feeling bad about..." He stopped. 'About my feelings for you.' His thoughts were spinning at that moment. (Y/n) knew that it wasn't a good idea to confess. "About what?" The Ultimate Gambler looked at him, tilting her head to the side slightly.

"I..." The words were stuck in his throat. He could never tell her about his feelings. If he did, she would probably reject him, laughing at his weak attempt to confess. He didn't want to be rejected, much less on his birthday. "I... I apologize, I didn't mean anything by it."

"Of course. I do not wish to make this awkward for the both of us, so I won't question it any further." Celestia bowed to the (h/c) haired male. "However, I should take my leave now. It is getting late. Thank you for inviting me." With that, she left.

'God, that was so embarrassing just now. I probably looked like a fool...' He thought, covering his face with his hands. 'I should've just shut up! What will she be thinking of me? That I'm a pure idiot? Then again, she was probably already thinking that...' A sigh escaped his lips.

After gathering his thoughts, (y/n) decided to finally head home as well. There was no point in worrying about someone else's opinion, especially since he wouldn't be able to change it too easily. 'Ludenberg was right... It's already really dark outside.' His eyes wandered towards one of the windows.

'I hope she'll be safe. It can be quite dangerous in the city, especially at night.' Deciding that it wouldn't do any good if he started overthinking and worrying, the (h/c) haired male walked out, thanking the staff one last time before he did so.

'Almost all of my classmates were here today. Except two or three that already had appointments for the evening, everyone took time out of their day for me. Though the thing that makes me the happiest, is that Ludenberg decided to come. I... Can't help but look forward to the next time we meet.'
