"Thank you all for coming." (Y/n) smiled, giving a small bow to his newfound friends. "Kirigiri, did you invite Ludenberg as well...?" His voice revealed how hesitant he was, looking at the purple haired detective. "I did. She said she would come as well, but..." She looked at her phone.

"It's not like her to be late." Kyoko finished her sentence, shaking her head in disbelief. "Then again, it was quite the spontaneous invite. Maybe she didn't know she had something planned already. I don't know if she will arrive late or won't at all. I apologize, (l/n)."

"I understand." The Ultimate Dealer sighed. "Considering that we only resolved our issues a few days ago, she may not feel comfortable around me yet. I won't blame her for that." Taking a deep breath, he then smiled. "I hope you'll like the food from this place."

Just when he was about to open the first present, the door opened. "I apologize for being late." His heart - for some reason - skipped a beat when he saw her carrying the beautiful bouquet of roses. "Ah, Ludenberg!" The (h/c) haired male exclaimed happily. "I'm glad you were able to make it!"

"Of course. I wouldn't dare to turn down your invitation. Not after you gave me such a heartfelt apology." Celestia extended her arm towards him, showing him the roses. "It's not much, but I hope you like them. These are the prettiest flowers they had at their shop."

"They look really expensive." His eyes widened, his cheeks growing red. "Don't worry about the price. It's a gift, so it is not like you have to pay me back." Nodding, (y/n) carefully took the bouquet from her, his fingers brushing over hers for just a split second. "Thank you, Ludenberg."

Looking down at his gift, the (h/c) haired male felt a rush of happiness inside of him. Not only did Celestia accept his apology and invitation, she even went out of her way to get him a gift. 'Roses... They have the same color as her eyes... They're beautiful.'

He wanted to hug her. To tell her how happy he felt that they could finally develop a friendship, even though he knew that maybe, just maybe, he wanted a much closer relationship with her. (Y/n) knew that it was extremely far fetched and also a bit idiotic.

'Isn't this a really romantic present...?' He watched the Ultimate Gambler greet the others and sit down, before redirecting his gaze towards the red blossoms. 'No, I'm sure she doesn't want me to misinterpret it. It's just meant to be friendly, no romantic feelings involved. If only they could last forever...'

Yes, the Ultimate Dealer actually was quite sad about the fact that the flowers wouldn't live as long as he would. Behind him, his friends were starting to chat amongst themselves, talking about what they were going to order. No one noticed how mesmerized (y/n) seemed to be.

No one, except Celestia. Her gaze softened while she watched him. 'It seems like (l/n) really likes these flowers. I'm glad I didn't choose the wrong type.' A quiet sigh of relief escaped her glossy lips. 'I don't know why I feel so relieved because of that... It's strange, really...'

For the first time, the black haired female's heart began to beat faster because of someone else. Her cheeks grew red and her pupils expanded a bit. Could it be? No, she refused to believe it. She refused to believe that she had caught feelings for the Ultimate Dealer.
