The Russians come with a heavy hand,With troops and missiles in their wake,Young men and boys who never again,
Shall see their mothers' ugly faces.
For in Ukraine they did still stand,
For in Ukraine they did believe,
For freedom, for Love, for all democracies,
Fighting the bear with the courage of Heroes.
But even Heroes must need help,
For against an army of o'er whelming bears,
Javelins serve only a futile role,
More tanks more guns, the Ukrainian people cry.
The people of Ukraine were strong and proud,But they had no chance to be loud,The Russians advanced with no fear,And they had no choice but to adhere.
The people of Ukraine were in despair,With no way to escape or share,Their lives were altered in a day,Taken away by the Russians' play.
A year goes on,
More people die,
In glory again may Ukraine rise,
And to you my dear Eva, who loved too much.
