Poem 25 - A collection of endings

I dislike endings, and wrote these as I started on an essay on the fear of endings and 'post-ending depression' as I call it.

I / Code Geass

Goodbye is hard to say
To the show that made my day
To the characters I adore
To the plot that always had more

The end is hard to face
Of Lelouch's rebel case
Of C.C.'s mystery and charm
Of their bond that kept them warm

But I have to see it through
To find out how they'll make it true
To watch their final sacrifice
To honor their story and their price

So I'll watch with courage and with care
And enjoy every scene and every flare
And when it's done, I'll keep them in my mind
And thank them for this treasure that I find

II / Star Wars: The Clone Wars Finale

I don't want to let it go
The show that made me feel so low
The show that made me cheer and cry
The show that taught me how to fly (lie ?)

I don't want to face the doom
Of Ahsoka's struggle and her gloom
Of Rex's loyalty and his pain
Of Maul's madness and his gain

But I know I have to watch it all
To see how they'll survive the fall
To witness their courage and their skill
To honour their choices and their will

So I'll watch it with a hopeful eye
And root for them until they fly
And when it's over, I'll salute them
And thank them again for this epic gem
