This car was given to him by his father. And he cherishs it more than anything.

1967 Ford GT 500 Shelby Mustang (Eleanor).
Ethan found this car and fully restored it to look exactly like Eleanor from Gone in 60 seconds. One of his favorite films.

1956 Chevrolet 210 Custom.
He found this car after he graduated College on the side of the road and bought it for $1000. And dropped every dime he made in this car because it was a lemon. The steering wheel was vaguely connected to something, when he turned the wheel it was like it broke a hip, and move lazily in that direction. But when he hit the breaks it made a "hard" left, because the left front brake was the only that operated. He fixed everything in this car because he broke everything in this car. Also Howard helped him rebuild this car to what it is now.

He's also significantly wealthy, but his friends don't know about his wealth. At an early age Ethan took an interest in the stocks, and eventually told his parents what to invest in. They eventually made a significant amount of money from it. So his parents did everything they could to make sure he had a good education for his future. Ethan had the love and support of his family, and they were living comfortably in their new life.
Eventually that time had passed, and Ethan had to get a job, so he received a job from Caltech. From his work he was highly recommended for this job, and there he met four unlikely friends, and this is where his story begins.

She's the younger sister of Penny by one year, she too has ambitions to pursue being an actress, and moved out to California, but Penny didn't have enough room for her so Ethan being his charming self offered her his spare room in his apartment. And out of all of the entire group he was one of the only ones who didn't creep her out.
