The next day Misha woke up with a very healthy body and good mood. Too much to the point that she couldn't believe it was her own body at all because the sudden disappearance of bruises on her wrist and arms didn't go unnoticed by her. She couldn't come up to any conclusions about how her body healed overnight but who puts pressure on thinking how? When all she wanted was the pain to go away and God had finally granted her wish with a fresh morning.

She woke up from the sofa and quickly took a shower to change into her office attire and went downstairs for breakfast.

Today, it was Mrs Malhotra who was in the kitchen preparing food and when she saw Misha on the doors, they exchanged greetings before getting back on the work. As the breakfast was already prepared there wasn't anything to do so Mrs Malhotra asked her to call everyone for breakfast since she couldn't stop insisting on helping.

But the task seemed more hard than helping in the kitchen because soon after her call, everyone was there by the dining hall except her own husband, who was nowhere to be seen since the morning, neither in the room when Misha woke up.

She didn't bother checking in the first place, thinking he would be with his brother in the backyard like yesterday but that relief vanished immediately when Shubh came from his room instead of backdoors and Ishaan was not with him.

Misha wanted to ask him but stopped remembering the last night. How furious had Ishaan become when Ashwita came to know they didn't come together, then imagine how much more he will be now if she speaks to Shubh anything about it. He will again come up with stories on how she wanted to expose their relationship and right now she didn't want to fight him over that again.

Everyone gathered on the table and sat on their seats after serving their plates, but they didn't start. Although it's been long since they're accustomed to Ishaan's irregular meal timings, they would still wait to know whether he's going to eat or not. And today wasn't any different as always.

Misha had no answers if she'd asked about this but before anyone could attack her with the questions, Shubh announced,

"You all please begin, Ishaan will come soon." He assured everyone with a smile.

So he knows where he is?

Niharika patted her shoulders, indicating her to sit and eat as she had to leave for the office as well. Misha sat and had just served her food when suddenly, a sound of footsteps hitting on the staircase of the living room echoed and Ishaan appeared rushing over to the dining hall.

Everyone practically paused. He was fully dressed in office attire with eyes stuck on his hand, lastly wearing the watch as he came over to sit in front of Misha without realizing it.

Misha couldn't believe what her eyes were seeing. He definitely was coming from the room, all dressed but when did he even enter the room? She clearly remembered he wasn't there in the morning nor anywhere in the house where she checked. So how can he come upstairs?

On the contrary the person in front of her sat completely chilling out as if it's regular.

"I'm sorry I'm late." Ishaan smiled innocently, particularly looking at Shubh as if he was assuring him for his well being before turning his plate on the table. Ready to serve the food, when Misha immediately reached out for the same bowl trying to help him put it on his plate but his hands stopped her from doing so, immediately.

"I'll do it." He said looking at her with the same plastered smile and took the bowl.

Misha didn't know why, but she felt her heart ache with weird emotions that she had never felt in her life before. It was as he had mocked her in front of everyone, she felt humiliated. A little acceptance of her gratitude wouldn't cause any harm but he chose to degrade her.
