The horn was loud, the lights were still blinding, except the hit Misha was waiting for.

"What the heck are you doing!? Are you insane?!"

It took a few seconds for Misha to finally open her eyes that she had kept so tightly shut. The voice inside her ear was still of the horn instead of the man. Her heart was pounding very hard in her chest, her body went rigid as she barely kept it alive.

The man was probably out since she heard his blurry voice. Then he went in to shut the lights and that's when her vision slowly came to life as she tried to see the person who stood beside the car that had stopped just an inch away from her body.

"What the HELL are you doing in the middle of a running road MISHA!!?"

Her heart skipped a beat. Out of anyone in the world, why did her paths always cross with him? Even when she's about to die peacefully?

She slowly stared at him, pure dread and fury creeping its way onto his pale features as he glared her back in the eyes, feeling unbelievable.

"Are you stupid? Do you have a death wish?" He marched up to her and by grabbing her arm, he tried to pull her off the floor but before Misha could stand on her legs, she yelped out loud.

"Ahh! Stop my feet!"

Ishaan was not even able to lift her up completely when her shout stopped him on the way. Staring at her with frowned brows, he snapped. "What happened to your feet?"

"Got sprained." She bit back, and averted her eyes another way before grabbing her right ankle as it hurts now since Misha tried to put weight on it.

"How did it get sprained? I told you to wait near the stop then what are you doing here? That in the middle of the road!? Have you lost your mind?"

"Please stop questioning me!! I don't want to answer any of your questions!" Misha shouted, and a tear silently rolled down from the corner of her eyes.

Ishaan gagged seeing the sudden change in her mood. He didn't actually mean to shout at her to cry, he just got scared.

"You could have been hit by the car." He muttered.

It was true, he was just saved from hitting someone on the road in open and that too was his own wife. He doesn't know what he would do if something untoward had happened even by mistake.

Misha looked away as the words left his mouth, avoiding not to hear his babble when Ishaan crouched down to her and went for her ankle to check the injury.

"What are you doing?" Frowning her brows, she tried to retreat her feet but his grip remained firm, so Misha yeeted it away and tried to stand up immediately.

"I'm fine, you don't have to act worr-" She couldn't even put the toe of her right foot on the ground and clashed with the boy sitting in front of her.

He caught her immediately and prevent her from collapsing again as their breaths crossed each other for a fragment of a second.

"Stop trying in vain. Let me check it."

"I said I am fine. Let's go home." She insisted.

Feeling the closeness of his face to her, Misha met his glare by her own and her heart skipped several beats. She tried to back off again but before she could struggle, Ishaan swiftly moved his one hand behind her shoulders and other beneath the knees and lifted her up in a bridal style.

Misha's eyes expanded as she quickly reached out an arm around his neck in fear that she might fall but the other was still resisting to grab anywhere. Looking down to the height while shock settled her eyes, she scrambled. "Ishaan! Put me down! I can walk on my own, it's not that serious, put me down!"
