Warning- panic attacks
Misha's p.o.v
It was dark everywhere, things vaguely visible in the dim moonlight when I felt my foot landed on the bumpy ground of the forest. Rocks, debris and long trees scattered everywhere as I observe things around me. Suddenly in the midst, my sight fell upon the corner of trees. Not only was I seeing the shadows of trunks in the forest but also, there were silhouettes of two humans that I was able to differentiate very well.
They were talking by themselves when slowly, I stood up from the ground which I didn't realised I was sitting on and approached a little in their direction.
The figures of those silhouettes were of a man and a woman. Perhaps, they must have felt someone's presence near them so they stopped talking and tilted their head towards my direction. Just when they turned, their faces in recognition was enough for the blood in my veins to gush proliferously.
I kept looking at them blankly for a few seconds. Under no circumstances I thought I would be meeting them here in a forest. A wave of relief and excitement flowed through my body as I jumped in happiness before calling them.
"Mom! Dad! Is that you?"
Their lips curled into a heartwarming smile, the smile they always used to give me before they spread their arms wide, inviting me to embrace them.
They indeed were looking like my parents, my only precious family in the world. I looked at their smiling faces and felt it was true. It was really happening that after a long time I was finally able to see them, talk to them, and feel them... Tears instantly filled my eyes as I ran and cried my heart out while hugging them tightly.
"Mom, dad, where were you all this time? Where did you go leaving me alone? Do you have any idea how much I missed you? Where were you?" I asked, sobbing.
It was my mom's hand which was soothing me on the back. Holding her tears back in, she said. "Stop my child, stop crying now. You've cried enough. We didn't left you anywhere dear, we were just lost... and we couldn't reach you out, but now we are back and together so from now we will always stay together."
Breaking the hug, she caressed her hand from my head to chin and wiped my tears. Cupping my face in her hands, she continued. "Don't let go of our hands Mishi, or like before we will be lost again. Okay?"
I nodded my head in understanding and interlocked both of my hands with theirs.
"Come on, let us get out of this forest, and go home." Said dad this time and we agreed. Holding our hands with each other, we walked out of the area.
I was happy that I found my family after all. Hoping all the miseries in my life shall vanish now. The marriage, the lies, everything will be fixed and my life will be like before again.
I was thinking about all the best consequences while walking in the forest when we heard a loud growling sound of an animal that came from very close to where we stood, or rather, when I tried to hear it properly again, I could sense it growling very close behind me.
Swirling in my stance, what I saw from my eyes afterward was enough for me to feel a cold shiver running from the bottom of my spine to the roots of my hair.
Right behind us stood a huge, bloody, hideous looking wolf that was growling in hunger while glaring at us. His claws were abnormally big, long canines dripped in blood and weirdly sharp with icy blue eyes shining with predation and rage as if we were the only last piece of meat on earth.
As I turned, mom and dad turned after me as well and we all got frightened seeing the wild wolf standing so close to us. Escaping is the only way we could see to protect ourself from that bloodied animal so we ran from there.
