chapter 14

-- Monday, 2:15pm --

"Today you're gonna hand in your projects and then present them!" the English teacher said making the whole room panic with chatter.

"Present? I'm not gonna do that!"

"We did the project, why do we have to present them??"

"Kill me. I didn't even do any of the damn work!"

Damnit Minyoung, you jinxed it. Y/N thought as she scanned the room to find the boy. Jeno, Minyoung and Y/N were all looking at each other. Minyoung was looking... calm-ish meanwhile Jeno and Y/N were looking at each other with anxiousness as they didn't participate in the project as much as Minyoung, mostly Jeno.

"We're gonna go in group orders, so I hope you all have something otherwise you'll get a fail. This project is really gonna help you with your upcoming test!" the teacher said.

"Did you do your project?" the boy, Haeyeol, next to Y/N asked her. "Yeah." she whispered back. "Lucky... our one isn't fully completed yet." he whispered with panic.

"Group 1, Jinah and Areum! Show us your project and present it please." she said making the two girls stand up and walk to the front. They held their project out, which was on a small A4 sheet of paper. The teacher squinted her eyes to see what was written on it.

"Uh.. nae, this is our project. We have made it really detailed and it talks about how we can change the planet if we stop littering and uh.." Areum said awkwardly, nudging Jinah on the arm so she could speak too, she didn't wanna carry their little presentation by being the only one speaking, then giving credit to the other girl too.

A few people laughed, causing the two girls to laugh a bit too.

"Stop laughing!" the teacher said. "Carry on." she told the girls.

"T-that's it." she said before looking down so she could avoid the teachers gaze. Boy, it was scary when this specific teacher got angry. One time a student didn't complete their homework and the teacher went beyond the limits to give that student fails on every single homework for that term. And she didn't get fired for it, only because they believed the teacher over the student, normal thing.

"Hm.. are you sure that's it?- Anyways, go sit down and give me your project." she said and the two girls walked closer to the teacher, she full on snatched the paper from their hands and started reading it.

Groups after groups were presenting their projects, only leaving Y/Ns group feeling apprehensive as the time went on.

"Well done you three! And next... oh wait a second." the teacher said then heard a vibrating phone in her pocket. The teacher picked the call up. "Annyeonghaseyo?" she spoke to the person on the other end, man, it was like perfect timing for the three. Y/N could do nothing but thank the person who decided to call the teacher, hoping some time would miraculously fly by once she was done.

Minyoung was looking at Y/N, she could feel someones soul piercing into the direction where she was sitting in. She looked at the boy and saw him mouth, "We're next" and the girl understood straight away, returning a nod to him.

Meanwhile, Jeno sat way too relaxingly in his chair. He leaned back, one leg on top of his other legs knee and ruffled his hair.

Man, does he not feel anything ever? We're literally about to present and he's just sitting there looking as if he doesn't care! the girl thought as she rolled her eyes when she looked at the boy sitting infront of her.

"Our one was terrible, wasn't it?" Haeyeol asked turning his head to look at the angry-kinda girl. "Are you ok? You look-" he said turning his gaze to where the girl was looking. "Yes I am. Your project wasn't even bad." Y/N said, intertwining her fingers. Haeyeol nodded slowly.
