Your POV:

-- Thursday, Lunch --

I was on my way to the canteen. Normal thing, meeting Yerin and probably the others since they started to hang around with us more.

But one thing was on my mind and I wasn't really sure why he was being like this but Taeyong hadn't been speaking to me.

I mean, not that we spoke 24/7 but on a regular basis we would have a chat but for the past day or two he, what seemed like, was avoiding any conversations with me.

And from the way he would look at me, like.. he seemed mad or something and I knew I had to talk to him about that. Did I do something wrong?

Well maybe it was the right option. To talk it out with him because if I did something wrong unknowingly I would love for him to share it out.

I was starting to drift away with my distracting thoughts that I didn't notice Jeno standing next to me.

"I called your name two times." was the first thing he said once he got my attention.

"Right.. sorry I was just thinking of something-"

He then acted surprised, "S-sorry? Did you just say sorry?"

I facepalmed with annoyance, "Yeah, I did. What? Should I take it back?"

He laughed it off as I sighed, "So, it's your birthday tomorrow."

"Yeah, it is." I said and perceived some looks by a few girls that were walking by. I looked in between the space me and Jeno had and slightly moved away as he carried on speaking.

"Are you excited?" he genuinely asked, showing me his eye-smile. He was actually kinda cute when he was being actual... wait what?-

"Y/N? Come on, what are you thinking of." he asked seriously this time. Smile and eye-smile had disappeared just at the sight of my change in action.

I flinched and realised that my gaze had moved down, but this time I wasn't even thinking of anything...

"Nothing, I was thinking of nothing." I replied back, seeing him carry on.

"Alright.. I was thinking of taking you to see the lights that shine at night. And that's from the-"

"No.. it's ok, I just wanna celebrate at the amusement park and then we can go home. But thanks." I cut him off and saw him put his hands up saying, "As you wish then."

As I watched and listened to him rant on about whatever, I could only mentally smile at the way he was actually quite thoughtful. Jeno was actually not... that bad. That innocent-looking face along with that eye-smile that he would flash me with very often. This was just the genial other side of him he was showing.

"Jeno-ya!" the raspy voice shouted from across the corridor.

We looked over to see Jaemin waving his arm, gesturing for Jeno to come over.

Jeno looked at me and I nodded, before walking away and to his two other friends.

I turned my attention back to what was ahead of me, seeing that the canteen was in front. I scanned the place for Yerin, seeing her laughing with, indeed, the others and I walked towards them. They didn't see me yet.

As I got closer, Taeyong and Mark noticed my presence. I showed Mark a smile since he was already greeting me with one and Taeyong looked away as if he didn't detect me.

"My favourite person Y/N! What's good?" Mark spoke out and stretched out his arm so we could do our friendly handshake, gaining the attentions of the two that had their backs turned towards me.
