chapter 6

-- Lunchtime --

Y/N just got dismissed from maths. She also had this class with Jeno, so now she thought it was the perfect chance for her to tell him her house address. He was walking fast. She ran behind him to catch up.

"Yah, Lee Jeno!" she said and the boy didn't seem to hear her. What? That was loud enough for him to hear. She thought. She quickly gulped her saliva before walking to his right side and the boy just stared at his phone. Y/Ns tongue poked the very edge of her lips, waiting for him to notice her appearance. "Jeno?" she finally said causing him to smirk whilst looking up from his phone.

What's with that expression? the girl thought.

"What?" he asked whilst putting his phone away in one of his pockets. "I forgot to give you my house address." she said whilst giving him a paper with her address on it. "Why are you giving me your house addre-" he said but realised what it was for. "Oh, yeah." he said whilst opening the paper and reading it.

"When do you wanna start the project?" she asked Jeno. "Hm... let's just start it after school today, I don't know." he said as he carefully looked at the girl. Y/N poked her cheek with her tongue whilst looking at the ground. "Ok... uh meet me infront of the art department after school." she said as she looked up to the boy. The boy nodded slowly.

"Wait... are you the one that bumped into me near the convenience store? I swear you look famil-" Jeno asked with realisation which made the girl widen her eyes a bit. "I don't know what you're talking about." she said whilst walking backwards and then turned around to walk away. 

Y/N started walking fast. Ok, I did it. Phew. She thought gladly. Jeno just watched her walk away, before turning around and walking his way. Judging by how she answered his question and how she widened her eyes a bit, he knew she was the one who bumped into him. He actually smiled a bit thinking about it.

-- 5 minutes later --

"Mmm... this tastes so good!" Yerin said and Y/N was tired of hearing it. She'd been going on about how good her cookie was forever. "You think...?" Y/N said sarcastically before eating her food. Yerin nodded and took another bite of her cookie.

"Look, Minji's sitting alone, where's Hana?" Yerin said covering her mouth whilst chewing. Y/N looked at where Yerin was looking at, making her turn her body around. She looked upset as she was eating her food really slowly. Almost everyone surrounding the girl were talking about her, of course.

"Hana was really mad at her you know!" one voice said.

"I bet they're not friends now." another voice said.

Minji put her food down and buried her head in her arms.

"I haven't seen Hana today, maybe she didn't come in." Y/N said turning herself around again. "No, she's in school. Apparently she hid herself in the bathrooms." a boy on their table said, looking at Y/N. Y/N and Yerin looked at each other for a few seconds. "Why did she do that?" Yerin asked the boy. "Because everyone knows that the photo's photoshopped, even Hana knew." the boy said, causing Y/N to widen her eyes.

"Wait! Do you know if Minji was the one who photoshopped it?" she said standing up from her chair. "Yeah, apparently she did." the boy said looking up at Y/N. Y/N sat back down shaking her head slowly. "I knew it." she said and started eating her food again. Yerin was also shocked to how her friend guessed right. Whereas, the boy just stared at Y/N before turning back to his friends.

Laughter was heard from where Minji was sitting and yes, some people were laughing at her. That's when she got up and walked out of the cafeteria. "Damn." was all Y/N said after Minji had walked out.
