The morning light filtered through the window, the birdsong filling my ears. It was a beautiful way to start the day. My eyes slowly fluttered open as I was met with a snoring Liam, inches away from me. An even more beautiful way to start the day! I giggled, but quiet enough so that it sounded like a whisper, then turning so that I was laying on my back.

I was just about to shut my eyes once more, before my stomach made a faint rumbling sound. I figured it was because I didn't even grab any food last night, more bothered that I had Liam's tongue down my throat than a bite to eat. I almost silently crept out of bed, quickly throwing my clothes on from yesterday. The floorboards creaked as I slowly walked through the hall to the stairs, trying my best not to wake Liam up.

When I made my way into the kitchen, I was greeted by Paul, who gave me a small nod as to say hello. I gave one back before scavenging through the cupboards, looking for a quick snack. I grabbed a couple pieces of bread and stuck them into the toaster, leaning on the countertop as I waited for them to toast.

"Oh! I forgot to ask ya," Paul started. I turned to him as a signal for him to continue.
"I got a call from Peggy this morning, asking after Liam. Apparently he didn't come home last night. You were with him last, right?"

My eyes slightly widened, but I quickly turned back to face the toaster, in case he noticed.
"Oh! Umm, yeah. I'm pretty sure he went back to his mate's house or summat. Guessing he stayed over or-" My words got cut off as I turned around to see Liam himself at the kitchen door, shirtless, rubbing his eyes.

"Mornin', woke up and yer weren't there so I came looking for ya. Ah, alright Bonehead?" He said in a croaky voice, obviously he had just woken up. My face turned extremely red and I didn't dare look at my older brother.

"Went to his mates house, eh?" He sniggered, gaining a v-sign from me.
"Look, I don't mind yer having boys over but-"
"Can we not talk about this now?" I cut him off, maybe a bit too harshly, but serves him right. I turned to Liam and grabbed his hand, pulling him out of the kitchen with me. Maybe I was in a bigger mood than I should've been, but it didn't matter to me right now.

"Come on Liam, he can have my stupid fuckin' toast!"
