Chapter 9

//Natalia's pov//

"Luke, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have don't that and I feel really bad, please just call me back" I said into my phone for about the 20th time.

I've been calling Luke for the past week or so but he has yet to pick up or call me back.

"Maybe you should just wait for him to call you" Grace said "you don't want to look desperate"

"I think I'm 19 calls past desperate" I said more to my self "I just really want him to call me back"

"He will soon, maybe he just lost his phone" she said in hopes of making me feel better "or its broken"

"Yeah right, for a whole week" I said "he probably just hates me"

"He doesn't hate you" Grace said "now come on let's go to the beach or something, we've been in Australia for over a month and we still haven't been to Rainbow Beach"

"I just want to curl up in a ball and watch re-runs of Dance Moms while eating a big bag of Doritos" I said as I collapsed on my bed.

"No" Grace said sternly "we need to get out, were both off work today, we need to have some fun"

"Fine" I gave in "I do love the beach"

"That's the spirit!" Grace said excitedly as she ran into her closet to find something to wear, I always loved how she had such a happy personality.

I did the same and picked out my white lace bikini top with my teal bikini bottoms and my tie dye PINK muscle shirt that almost covered my butt, so it was good enough for the beach. I changed and put my natural hair golden blonde hair into a messy bun and slid on my sunglasses.

"Ready?" Grace asked from the door way.

"Yeah" I said as I walked behind her.

We got inside the truck that Edna gave us to use while we're staying here and started driving towards the beach.

"This is going to be so much fun" Grace said excitedly.

"Your so cute" I mussed as I flipped on the turn signal and pulled into the parking lot.

"Aww your cute too Natalia" Grace said making me giggle at her.

We grabbed the two beach towels from the bags we brought and made our way onto the sand. We set our towels down and looked at the amazing view.

"Can you put sun tan lotion on my back?" I asked Gracie as I took my shirt off.

"Sure" she replied as she squirted some in the palm of her hand and rubbed it against my skin.

"I can help you with that" an Australian voice said from behind us, I looked up to see a scrawny ginger that looked about 15 and his friend looking down at us with a smirk on his face.

"We're fine" I said trying to sound polite "bye"

"See you later babe" he said as he walked away with his friend.

I turned to look at Grace and her face exactly matched mine. Disgusted.

"He was so into you" Gracie said making me burst out laughing.

"Or he was-" I started to say as my voice hitched in my throat. I saw a blonde quiff that looked all to familiar. Luke was sitting in the sand in swim trunks with Michael, Ashton and Calum, all of them had there eyes fixed on me.

I felt my heart race as I quickly turned away from them. "Oh my god, Grace" I said.

"What?" She asked

"Luke and his friends are here" I whispered so only we could hear.

"What?" She screamed "where?

"Grace! Be quiet" I whispered as I pulled her back down to my level.

"Sorry" she whispered back "Ashton is so cute"

"Oh my gosh Grace not the time to be fangirling" I said "come on let's go by the water"

"Ok" she said as we stood up.

We walked down forwards the water as I felt the water run over my toes, it was warmer than I thought it would be.

"It's so pretty" Grace commented as she slung her arm around my shoulder.

"I know" I said "I wish we could stay here for ever" I said.

"Wow, lesbians" the scrawny guy said as he approached us again "even hotter"

"We're not lesbians" Grace said "not that we would ever be into guys like you"

"Ooh, burn" I said making Grace giggle.

"Come on babe" he said as he wrapped his arm around my waist, I wiggled out of his grasp only for him to pinch my left butt cheek.

"Can you stop" I said as I pushed him off of me.

"Babe" he said as he walked towards me again.

"Get away from me" I spat as I shoved him away.

"Stay away from her" I heard a familiar voice say from behind us, Luke.

"You can stay out of this" the younger boy snapped, I noticed the rest of the guys walked up too, Calum made awkward eye contact with me as I quickly looked away.

"You can stay away from Natalia and her friend or your going to live to regret it" Luke said as he towered over the scrawny boy making him cower under him.

"Jeez, sorry I was just trying to get some" he said as he put his hands up in defense and walked away.

"Thanks" I said quietly "for that"

"You don't need to thank me" Luke said "I'm really sorry about what happened, I over reacted"

"I shouldn't have done what I did" I said

"I'm going back to the flat, you guys can catch a cab" Calum called from behind as he started walking away, he clearly looked annoyed.

"What?" Michael asked "your the one that wanted to come here"

"There's no hot girls here" Calum sighed

"Yeah there is" Ashton said as he glanced at Gracie "what's your name?"

"Grace" she said as she smiled ear to ear.

"Grace is my room mate" I said "Grace meet Ashton, Ashton meet Grace"

"Nice to meet you Gracie" Ashton said "can I call you Gracie or just Grace?"

"Gracie works" she giggled

"I'm going back with Calum" Mikey said "I'll see you guys later"

"Do you want to take a walk?" Ashton asked Grace who nodded her head eagerly.

"And then there were two" I said breaking the silence between Luke and I.

"Natalia, I'm sorry again" Luke said "I was just mad and I didn't want to say anything that would make me sound even more like a douchebag"

"Your not a douchebag" I said "Your a really hot douchebag"

"Your so funny" Luke said sarcastically "do you think we could hang out again?"

"I'd like that" I said as I smiled at him.

"Then it's a date" Luke said as he reached down and grabbed my hand and intertwined it with this.
