Chapter 16

Natalia's pov

"So what happened again?" Ashton asked as I handed Calum three ibuprofen and a glass of water.

"I was protecting Natalia from the savage kangaroo that tried to attack us" Calum said making me scoff.

"That couldn't be farther from the truth" I said "it was a Joey and I told Calum to stay away from it but he thought it was cute and wanted to pet it"

"Well if it was going after you I would have protected you" Calum said chuckling a little then clutching his side in pain.

"So is it broken?" Michael asked popping the cap off a beer.

"No it's only fractured" I said

"It still hurts like crap though" Calum whined lifting up his shirt to reveal the bright purple bruise.

"Come on let's get you upstairs so you can rest" I said to Calum as I started to help him up the stairs.

"I got it" Luke said helping Calum.

"Thanks" I said walking into the kitchen and grabbing an ice pack and walking back up the stairs into Calum's room to see him laying on his bed with his shirt thrown on the floor.

"Here" I said pressing the ice pack to his bruise making him wince, "sorry"

"It's fine" he said "I'm sorry we didn't get your stuff today"

"I can get it another day" I said sitting of the edge of his bed.

"You can use my stuff until you get it" he said "what ever mine is yours"

"Thanks" I giggled "so do you need anything?"

"Nope" Calum said fiddling with his hands.

"Ok, I'm going to go lay down, its getting kind of late" I said motioning to my room, "just text me if you need something"

"Ok" he said as I walked out the door and into my room and took off my shoes and laid down in bed just as I got a text from Calum.

Calum🐵- I changed my mind I do need something, can you come back in here?

I walked back into his room to see Calum in the exact same spot I left him.

"What do you need?" I asked making his cheeks slightly redden.

"A cuddle buddy" he said patting the spot next to him in bed, "I mean only if you don't mind"

"Are you serious?" I asked making him blush even more.

"Yeah, I don't really want to be alone right now" Calum said "but I get it if you don't want to, sorry I even asked"

"Calum" I said as I crawled in bed with him, "it's ok, I don't mind"

"Oh, ok good" he said as he pushed his pillow closer towards me.

"You should try and get some sleep" I said turning off his lamp leaving us in the dark.

"But I'm not tired" he whined.

"I am" I said facing him "taking care of you all day"

"Oh ok, thanks for that by the way" Calum said "I also need to apologize for something"

"You already said sorry for walking in on me naked" I laughed making him smirk at the thought.

"No not for that, I need to apologize for the way I acted the night I drove you home and kissed you" he said, "I was kind of an ass hole"

"I know you were" I said "but it's ok, I did think you were the biggest jerk in the world but you've proved me wrong the past few days"

"I'm not a jerk, I may seem like one sometimes but that's just because I get flustered and angry easily" Calum said "alright we can sleep now"

"Ok" I laughed turning away from him and closing my eyes.

I was just about to fall asleep when I felt Calum's muscular arm snake around my waist and his plump lips linger against the back of my neck for a few seconds.

"Good night Natalia" he whispered before scooting close to me so my backside was pressed against him.
