Chapter 2

//Natalia's pov//

"Welcome to Rainbow Beach, Australia!" The flight attendant said over the speaker phone.

I stood up and stretched my legs and yawned, this was by far the longest plane ride I've ever been on. I grabbed my carry on and handed Grace hers too.

"So where do you think we're getting picked up?" Gracie asked as we made our way off the plane.

"Probably over there" I said as I pointed to an couple that was on the other side of the terminal. The brunette women was holding up a sign that said the name "Natalia Wills" on it and the balding man held a sign that said "Grace Henry".

"Hi, I'm Natalia Wills" I said as I introduced myself.

"And I'm Grace"

"So nice to meet you two lovely lady's" the women said in a Australian accent as she wrapped us both in a hug.

"Nice to meet you too" Grace said back.

"I'm Mr. Berkley and this is my wife Mrs. Berkley" the man said "but you can call us Charles and Edna"

"Nice to meet you Charles and Edna" I said politely as I shook Charles's hand.

"So should we get going?" Edna suggested.

"We can't forget their bags" Charles said as she motioned over too the baggage claim.

"Oh there's mine" I said as I speedily walked over and collected my bags.

Soon after Grace got her bags we walked into the parking lot and drove to where our new home for the next year would be.

"It's huge" Grace commented as we pulled into the drive way "and look, I can see the horse stables"

"Yes, the property is over 23 acres" Charles said proudly.

"Now come in, come in" Edna urged "we have dinner waiting for you two"

"Oh thank you" I said as we walked inside to see a very handsome boy leaned against the kitchen table typing away on his phone.

"Collin, get off that gosh dang phone of yours and come introduce yourself" Edna said "Collin is my son"

"Nice to meet you two pretty lady's " Collin smirked at me as he shook Grace's and I's hand "I'm Collin"

"Nice to meet you" Grace and I both said back at the same time.

"Collin, be a dear and get the girls bag out of the trunk" Charles asked as Collin walked to the truck to retrieve our bags.

Once he had brought all them in Edna served us dinner which consisted of chicken, asparagus and steamed rice.

We all sat down at the table as everyone dug in.

"So Natalia is it?" Collin asked me.

"Yeah?" I asked before I plopped a cut piece of chicken in my mouth.

"What are you going to be working as?" He asked.

"A zoo keeper" I said proudly, I've always loved animals and to get the opportunity to get to work at one of the biggest and best interactive zoo's in the world is amazing and will be a great help when I apply for collages next year.

"Zoo keeper" he repeated "that's a great job, it's a lot of fun I hear"

"Yeah, I love animals" I said

After dinner we met the other two boys that were staying here and we're working as cattle herders. Their names were Paul and Zachary.

Collin showed Grace and I to our shared room as well as carried out bags up for us.

"Here's your room" he said as he flipped the light switch on and set our bags down. There were two twin beds pushed up against opposite sides of the room along with two dressers and two closets, there was also a bathroom connected to our room which was something I wasn't expecting. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be this nice.

"Thank you" I said

"Well good night girls, my room is just across the hallway if you need me" Collin said as he sent a wink in my direction.

After Collin left the room I turned to Grace and she had the same expression on her face as I did.

"He totally likes you" Grace gushed

"He's kind of creepy" I said

"Yeah a little bit" she agreed "but super cute"

"I honestly didn't expect it to be this nice" I said "the family is super nice and so is the house, I just can't wait to see what my jobs going to be like tomorrow"
