Chapter 8

//Natalia's pov//

"Thanks for giving me a ride" I said quietly to Calum as he opened the passenger side door for me.

"No problem" he said as he turned the car heater on since it was freezing and I was soaking wet from the rain "where to?"

"4231 Meadow Vista avenue" I said

Calum put the address into his phone so he would now how to get there. The car ride was pretty silent and not a comfortable silence, an absolutely awkward silence. I was trying my hardest to stop my self from crying but I couldn't. I just messed up the only chance I would ever get with Luke, he's a great guy and of course I mess everything up just like I always do.

"I'm sorry about Luke" Calum said as he broke the silence "he can be a real dick"

"It's not your fault" I said "it's mine, I shouldn't have done that"

"It's not your fault either" he said "We were just playing a game, Luke is the one that over reacted"

"I'm sorry" I said as tears started to fall freely down my cheeks, I tried to wipe them away but it was no use.

"What's wrong?" Calum asked as he flipped on his turn signal, pulled into an empty parking space in the lot of a mini mart and looked at me.

"I just really liked him" I mumbled "I know I'm being really emotional, but I do"

"He would be lucky to have you" he said as he gently rubbed circles into my exposed thigh.

"What are you talking about?" I scoffed "Luke could have any girl he wants, why would he want me? I'm just an ugly dumb blonde, or that's what everyone thinks of me"

"Your not ugly or dumb, your honestly so beautiful and I bet you know a lot about turtles" Calum said making me give a weak smile.

"Thanks Calum" I said as I looked down at my lap.

"Hey" Calum said as he tilted my chin up to look at him "I'm not lying, you truly are a great girl and anyone would be immensely lucky to have you"

I didn't respond to Calum, I'm so embarrassed. I'm crying in front of Calum Hood, any of these boys could get any girl they want, I'm being so stupid about this. My thoughts were interrupted as I felt Calum in one swift movement place his hand on my cheek and press his lips to mine. Again.

I pulled away instantly, I can't be fooling around with Calum if I'm going to try and fix things with Luke.

"Wh- wh-" Calum stuttered as his cheeks turned bright red, he leaned back in his chair and vigorously clicked his seat belt as he started driving toward my home again, not saying a word.

"I'm sorry, I just want to-" I started to say before Calum cut me off.

"We're here" Calum said sounding incredibly annoyed, he didn't even bother to look at me.

"Calum, I'm sorry I-" I started to say again before I got cut off, again.

"We're at your house, so it's time for you to get out of my car" Calum said extremely rudely.

"I-I" I stuttered as Calum reached around me and opened the car door and motioned for me to get out.

"Bye" I muttered as he sped off back towards his house.

What the hell was that? I'm so confused, I told Calum I liked Luke and then he tries to kiss me? And when I rejected him he instantly turned into this huge jerk?

I twisted the lock and stepped inside to see Collin on the couch with his lips pressed to a random girl I've never seen before, I've only known Collin for a few weeks but it's very clear he's a player. Neither of them bothered to look up at me as I walked past them and up the stairs.

"How was your date with Luke?" Grace asked eagerly as she paused the TV that was currently playing some reality TV show where two fat lady's were yelling at each other.

"Horrible" I sighed as I collapsed on my small twin bed.

"What happened?" She asked signing concerned.

"Well everything was going great with Luke until his friends showed up, Ashton made us play truth or dare and my dare was to kiss Calum" I started but Grace cut me off.

"Oh my gosh did you do it?" She asked eagerly.

"Yes, it was a dare I had to" I said "and that's not even the worst part. Luke got really mad and Calum drove me home and he was being really nice and then Calum kissed me again and I pulled away and he turned into this huge jerk and I don't know what to do"

"Everything's going to be ok" Gracie ensured "Maybe just call Luke in the morning and give him some time to cool off"

"That's a good idea" I said
