Chapter 20

Calum's pov

Once Natalia and Ashton left, I left my room and walked into Luke's to see him scrolling through his phone on his bed.

"What's up?" He asked not looking up at me.

"I need to talk to you" I said scratching the back of my neck.

"About what?" He asked.

"Well remember our pact that we won't bang the same girl?" I asked sitting on the edge of his bed.

"Yeah?" He asked looking up at me confused.

"Well I know you and Natalia were kind of a thing earlier but I think I've really fallen for her, not that she would ever want me now. She probably hates me" I rambled on.

"Wait back up" Luke said scrunching his thick eyebrows "I never boned Natalia, I tried but she wouldn't let me"

"Are you serious?" I asked mentally slapping the back of my own head. If I had known this earlier I wouldn't have stopped the kiss and gotten mad at her.

"Yeah, that's kind of why it didn't work out for us" he said going back to his phone "but I mean if you like her mate, go for it"

"You wouldn't care?" I asked "not that she would even think about being with me now"

"I don't care" he yawned.

"God, I messed up so bad" I said pacing back and forth.

"Stop doing that, your making a draft" Luke laughed "and if you care so much go talk to her, I think I just heard he garage"

"Okay" I said "thanks Luke"

I walked into my room and waited for Natalia to come only to see that Ashton was carrying her and that her foot was bandaged. That was probably my fault to in a way.

Ashton set her in her bed, tucked her in, said goodnight and shut off the lights leaving her alone.

I took my chance and walked into her room to see her sniffling into her pillow.

"Natalia?" I said making her gasp and her eyes flicker to me "it's okay it's just me"

"Go away" she said for what felt like the millionth time tonight.

"No, I need to talk to you" I said walking closer only for her to start crying again and throwing her pillows at me.

"Get out, get out" she yelled causing Ashton to appear in the doorway yet again.

"Calum you need to leave her alone now" his voice was stern, I'm guessing she told him what happened.

"I just need to explain myself" I said

"No your going to leave now before I make you" Ashton said.

I looked back at Natalia to see her crying again which only made my heart sad seeing her like this and knowing it was my fault.

"I'm sorry Natalia it was a misunderstanding-" I started to say but got cut off by Ashton basically dragging me out of the room.

"She's had a rough day, please mate just leave her alone" he said "I don't know why you would've treated her like that if you keep going on about how you like her so much"

"That's what I was trying to explain" I said.

"I don't want to hear it tonight Calum, just go to bed and we can worry about this in the morning"

I huffed as I walked back into my room and tried my hardest to go to sleep but I couldn't stop thinking about Natalia and how I was going to make this situation right again.

NATALIAS POV

I haven't been able to sleep all night and now that I finally did all I can hear is the boys down stairs messing around, God I swear these walls are made of paper you can hear through them so easily.

I originally planned on staying in my room for as long as possible but I couldn't deny the fact that I haven't eaten since lunch yesterday and that my stomach was growling so loud it sounded like a monster.

I didn't even bother looking in the mirror as I threw my hair up in a messy bun.

I got out of bed only to feel the sharp pain in my foot. I sat back down and swallowed a few of the pain meds that the doctor gave me last night and walked down stairs trying my hardest to ignore the painful sensation.

"Hey Natalia" Ashton greeted with a warm smile as he helped me into a chair "I'm making waffles, you want one?"

"Yes please" I said just as Luke and Michael walked in.

"Man you look like shít" Michael said making Ashton slap the back of his head.

"Thanks Michael" I laughed slightly.

"Sorry that came out wrong, what I meant to say was man you don't look hot" he said making Luke snort "I mean because normally you look hot"

"That's not any better but it's okay Michael" I said actually laughing now "I know I don't look good right now"

"Does anyone know where Calum is?" Luke asked "he stole my charger"

"I don't know where he went but I got up around 3 this morning to take a piss when I heard the garage door open" Michael said "I don't know where he went"

"Why don't you call him?" Ashton said handing me my waffle.

Luke pulled out his phone and started calling Calum, he put it on speaker phone so we could all hear too.

"Hey" Calum's voice sounded groggy.

"Where are you?" Luke asked.

"I couldn't sleep last night so I left to go see my mum and Mali" he said "I just got here a few minutes ago so I'll talk to you later Luke"

"Wait when are you coming home?" He asked "you stole my phone charger"

"I left it in my room, you can just go grab it and I'll be back tonight probably" Calum said.

"Alright bye mate" Luke said before the line went dead.

"You doing anything today?" Ashton asked as he sat down next to me and began eating his own waffle.

"I'm going into work today" I said checking my phone "speaking of that I need to go get ready"

"But your hurt" Ashton said.

"It's fine, my friend Mason is giving me a ride" I said "and I don't think I'll be doing very much today, probably just feeding the turtles and handing out fliers"

"You have friends?" Michael asked laughing at him self.

"Yes I do" I said before walking upstairs.

I got a text from Mason saying he was already on his way so since I didn't have time to shower I quickly rubbed some baby powder into my roots so get rid of the grease I re-put my hair in a pony tail, changed into my work uniform, and applied minimal makeup.

After doing the necessities like brushing my teeth and applying deodorant I limped down the stairs and out the door and climbed into the passenger seat of Mason's truck.
