They pushed past the leaves of the willow trees and hopped onto their boards, skating down the street at a moderate pace. Sakusa was still in a daze but he followed behind them easily enough.
"Isn't this jus' the best feelin' ever??" Atsumu asked from where he skating next to Sakusa.
Atsumu stretched his hands out and laughed as the wind whisked through his soft blonde hair.
Sakusa chuckled, "Yeah... I guess it is..." He agreed.
Atsumu grinned, "C'mon, Ink-Blot, let's see if ya can keep up."
(Start the song at the top - Dancing In The Dark by Rihanna)
Sakusa furrowed his brows in confusion but Atsumu only chuckled and leaned forwards, speeding away from him and weaving his way past the others.
Kuroo laughed, quickly pulling out his camera and hitting record.
The song Dancing In The Dark by Rihanna played loudly over the Bluetooth speaker in Atsumu's bag as he sped down the street.
Suddenly, Komori and Akagi zipped past him on either side, laughing loudly. Atsumu huffed a breath of amused laughter and quickened his pace. Meanwhile, Yaku, Kuroo and Bokuto were cruising not far behind them, and Sakusa was nearing them slowly but surely.
Atsumu did a frontside-180 to turn and smile at the camera in Kuroo's hands and salute Sakusa before he repeated the trick to turn in the right direction again.
They skated down the street, singing and shouting at the top of their lungs, under the watchful eyes of the moon. Their only sources of light were the warm yellow glow of the street lamps, the feint glow of the moon itself and the dull light on Kuroo's camera.
They pulled up in the parking lot of a shopping mall and began having shopping cart races across the tarmac. They sang at the top of their lungs as they raced and laughed.
The teams were Kuroo and Bokuto, Komori and Akagi, and Sakusa and Atsumu. Yaku just smiled proudly as he recorded all of their shenanigans.
It was a close race, but in the end, Atsumu and Sakusa won with Atsumu in the cart and Sakusa pushing it.
After their stop at the shopping mall, they skated off to a seven eleven, and to say that the cashier was not impressed with the chaos they brought into the store would be an understatement. They bought a wide range of chocolates, sweets, chips, energy drinks, and anything else that they wanted.
They skated down to a park to eat their snacks and play on the equipment like little kids, swinging on the swings and spinning on the roundabout and the merry-go-round. They laid down on the grass in a circle and watched the stars for a bit, pointing out constellations - both existing and not - and laughing.
They spoke about mundane things, going from volleyball to what they would do next, but they burst out laughing when Bokuto pointed out a supposed, "Guys, look! It's a dick-shaped constellation!"
Sakusa found that he was having the most fun he had in a while as they skated back down the street, towards their university.
They zipped across the bricks of the campus sidewalks, riding the rails of the stair cases and trying to out-do one another's tricks.
Atsumu seemed to be perfectly at home skateboarding around the campus. He was everywhere, constantly jumping off his board to run atop walls and do flips with Bokuto and Kuroo just behind him.
Yaku continued to video them as they skidded down the railings of the stairs and raced along the walkways.
"Hey, Tsumu! Did you bring the stuff??" Komori called from up front.
Atsumu laughed as he pushed forward off the ground to catch up with him, "Ya bet yer board, I did!"
"'The stuff'?" Sakusa questioned, worried that maybe some of the 'questionable' things Komori said they did were drugs.
"Yup! One of our other hobbies," Akagi replied as he skated around them in a wide arc just ahead of them.
Sakusa furrowed his brows and Kuroo pulled up next to them, "You could say it's one of our more...creative hobbies," he explained further.
Sakusa breathed a sigh of relief, because doing drugs was certainly not creative in any way he knew, but he was still confused, "What does that mean?" He asked.
Yaku skated ahead of them, though he was facing them while skating backwards, "You know the campus vandals that the lecturers said the faculty keep complaining about?"
Sakusa nodded, "Yeah, but what do they have to-" The Manic crew grinned as they collectively watched the relealisation dawn on Sakusa's face, "No way..." He commented in disbelief.
Bokuto skated up next to Sakusa and slung an arm over his shoulder, "Yes way, Sakkun!" He corrected.
"Isn't that illegal?" Sakusa asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Think of it as a creative outlet for our chaos," Yaku said and Atsumu snickered.
With that, they turned down their music as to not alert the campus security, and skated behind the chemistry lab to further their art escapades. Sakusa only shook his head at the bright neon tag on the back of the building that they put there on the first day of the semester.
Atsumu tossed each of them a can of spray-paint - electric yellow for Bokuto, shock green for Komori, aquamarine for Yaku, glow-in-the-dark white for Akagi, hot pink for Kuroo, fiery orange for himself, and royal blue for Sakusa.
After that, each of them went to a separate part of the wall to tag - Komori and Akagi stayed near the original tag to paint a glowing Minecraft slime while Yaku, Kuroo and Bokuto went further behind the building, but not as far as Atsumu and Sakusa, to paint a neon strawberry and banana popsicle.
Atsumu and Sakusa made their way to a good spot behind the chemistry lab and got ready to paint what they decided.
They had previously decided on painting a random planet because according to Atsumu, "Why not?"
