Ocean Eyes - Billie Eilish

"I've been watchin' you for some time

Can't stop starin' at those ocean eyes [...]

I've never fallen from quite this high

Fallin' into your ocean eyes"

"Come on guys. We are going to be late!"

That was the third time I had called out to the three Barcelona players getting ready in my hotel bathroom. I was beyond frustrated at this point because they were well aware we were, in fact, late.

Although Wembley was just a few blocks away and it would only take us ten minutes to get there, I had asked them repeatedly to be ready in time. Well, it turns out they had better plans

"Look who's all impatient and waiting on us now, uh." Mapi mocked me as she arrived by my side. She put an arm around my shoulders and in her face there was this mischievous grin that made me want to punch her

"Mapi, don't start..." I grumbled already exasperated, but of course she would never let it go

"Oh come on, Onita. Why are you in such a rush?" I released a frustrated sigh while I pinched my nose bridge

"Couldn't it be for a certain blonde?" At that I snapped my head towards a smirking Alexia. She was leaning against the door with her arms across her chest and wiggling her eyebrows.

"Tita, you're supposed to be on my side!"

They laughed. At me, of course. With a little pat in my back, Mapi took Ingrid's hand and left the hotel room. Rolling my eyes, I let Alexia get out before I closed the door ready to finally get to the stadium. The spaniard had left a kiss on my cheek making me blush and then took me in her arms while we navigated the streets of London.

She had not been wrong, though. I was eager to see Leah again. I didn't know why or how a total stranger had such a hold on me after a five-minute-long encounter. She even had me begging to encounter her by accident somewhere in the city.

Silly of me, obviously.

We arrived at Wembley just in time as we heard Germany's anthem, realizing the game was minutes about to start. Once in our seats, I took off my coat revealing Leah's jersey beneath it and from the corner of my eye I saw the smirk in Alexia's face. An 'I told you so' smirk. Deciding to ignore her, I sat and watched how England battle through and took the trophy home.

It ended 2-1 for England and I was beaming with excitement. My happiness almost felt as if I were cheering on my own country. I had enjoyed the game but just as had happened on the semifinal, my eyes were somehow drawn to that defender every single time.

Meanwhile, although Alexia and Mapi seemed more unfazed by the game, they had taken pictures and videos of me cheering the Lionesses on.

"Tia, you are Argentinian. Are you not supposed to hate the British?" Mapi asked well aware of the past between the two nations

"But haven't you seen what they just did! They are amazing!" I yelled while stepping back of the railing and turning around to find Alexia with her phone in hand recording me and Mapi just laughing

The trophy has already been lifted and now the English were doing their victory lap. My back faced the railings as I was leaned on them paying attention to the conversation between the two spaniards, in no rush whatsoever to get out of the stadium.
