Galway Girl - Ed Sheeran

"You know she beat me at darts and then she beat me at pool
And then she kissed me like there was nobody else in the room
[...]
Kissed her on the neck and then I took her by the hand
Said, 'Baby, I just want to dance'"

And it was fun indeed.

The moment we entered Alexia's apartment Patri was abruptly taken away by Claudia with a devilish grin plastered on her face that made me wonder what she had in store for tonight. She's the kind of person that suggests playing 'truth or dare' and makes the most cliches dares ever.

On the contrary, while being swept away Patricia smiled at me apologetic, her eyes never leaving mine until our teammate's heads were in the way.

A sheepish smile crept on my face. Sometimes she made me feel like a teenager all again and I kind of hated her for that. I let a puff of air as I made my way towards the kitchen where I would probably find the owner of what will be my house for at least a few months.

"So... You and baby Patri." María's arms surrounded my shoulders stopping my walk

"Is there a question in there Mapi?" I rolled my eyes when she pushed me into the room and cornered me

"Well I want to know what's happening there." Her words accompanied by those hands gestures she always did

"I don't know, okay? It's all relatively new." Although sincere, my answer was nothing but evasive. And by her elevated brow she didn't believe me

"Oh perfect! Ale please help me out." While I thought my best friend would be on my side, it turned out to be the other way around when Mapi explained the interrogatory she was putting me through

"Yeah I was meaning to ask. What the hell were those adoring eyes across the changing room?" I huffed at them and prompted myself from the countertop ready to leave

"Come on pequeña. We just want to know because three days ago you were head over heels for Leah." Alexia's hand was now leaving relaxing caresses on my arm in an attempt to lighten the truth

Under their attentive, although caring, gaze and with blasting music and non-alcoholic beverages waiting for me outside this space, I told them what I had been telling myself this past hours.

"I'm letting her be. I mean Leah. She kind of ghosted me and even if I don't know why, it was probably because of that woman at the restaurant." I sighed before I continued. "This is the best chapter of my life so far, and I don't want to keep thinking of what ifs."

"And you know I've always felt attracted to Patri, I like everything about her. So we are taking it slow. She's letting me get used to the team and we'll se where this goes."

Both women stared blankly at me when I finished. It was like they were debating what to say to not ruin the rest of the night. After some seconds, Alexia was the first to speak. Of course

"We just want you to be happy, pequeña. But be aware I'll be having a word with Patricia if this scales."

"Alexia." I groan throwing my head back. She kissed my cheek as if it would cure all my problems.

"Come on, it's time for your song."

"My what?!" I asked alarmed while I followed her to the living room where the others were dancing and drinking. Hearing Mapi's laugh from behind me, I turned around scolding her with my gaze which did little to nothing
