Mere minutes it took me to fall asleep on Patricia's shoulder on the train back home. Jonatan and the staff decided to not spend the night in Madrid, instead they opted to get a late train to Barcelona. For the toll it will take on us and our muscles we got two days off before we resume training on Tuesday. I for once wasn't complaining for I wanted to spend some days at home
And maybe to spend them at Patri's too
The rush of adrenaline the game left me with hadn't faded away, I think I could still feel my heart race. A game of this magnitude was difficult to forget and so it troubled my sleep, for every time I dozed off I was startled up again by my dreams.
They were mostly about how my mind felt when I scored or how it blanked when Patricia was brought to her knees. How anger filled my body and how my hands felt when I pushed that Real Madrid's player.
I was a temperamental person, always had trouble keeping my feelings in check. On my early youth I self-diagnosed with untreated anger issues which at the time became the perfect excuse for when I lashed out. Later I would realize it wasn't what I had thought but a protective feeling towards those closer to me. Mega, Rose, and now Alexia, Patri, María. They are who most see this part of me, even if its against them.
