"Renee, what is this?" Remus asked, staring at the cottage in front of them. It was a decent size, from what he could see it had two stories. The house was surrounded in the back by a forest. Ren moved closer to the man, grabbing his arm, and leaning into him. She steps onto her tiptoes kissing his cheek.
"Well, my love. This is a house that is for sale and we are waiting for a Rell-tor to show it to us." Remus knew she meant Realtor but he didn't say anything to correct her. The lady showed up soon after they did, giving the couple a tour of the property and house. She left them in the living room to talk at the end of it. "What do you think?"
"I think," the werewolf stepped closer to the woman, brushing her hair behind her ear before leaning down to it, "you should've told me we were looking for houses instead of randomly apparating us out of the apartment." His breath fanned over Renee's neck, causing goosebumps to rise. She shivered, completely melted in his hands. Which were wrapped around her back, making her lean into them.
"Oh." Was all she could let out. Remus pulled away from her, kissing her mouth quickly. He glanced around the light cream room. He then let his attention fall on the fireplace.
"We could get it if you like." Remus dusted off the stray soot, looking at his girlfriend.
"I would love to, as long as you like it of course."
"I would live anywhere with you."

The first week of March was constantly keeping Renee on her toes. With training, small missions from the Aurors office, moving into her dream home and taking care of a growing cat. Ren was busy. Remus would often take up roles that Renee would play. Like cooking and cleaning. He didn't mind so long as he was doing it for her. Plus, he knew she needed to do this. To prove herself. However, with an annoying best friend sulking around the newly renovated house, Remus was exhausted.
"I just don't understand. Who was it helping her in most of her classes?" He was jealous, Remus understood. James had been kicked out of the Aurors and now had nothing better to do. He slumped into one of the chairs at the kitchen table. Debra immediately found her place on his lap.
"I was." The werewolf replied, handing the bespeckled man a bowl of soup. Sirius had dived into research and Order missions, but James just felt defeated. The look on his face told Remus that.
"Yeah, but I mean when you two were fighting because you were madly in love with her and she liked a Death Eater." He loudly slurped from his bowl. Placing it down gently before bidding the cat onto the table. This was reoccurring. Remus would remind James that Deb was not to be fed human food, or to be on eating surfaces, or not to be let outside. But James being James would do the opposite. Remus just pinned it down to not having enough attention. James Potter was like a child. And the only way for a child to listen, as Remus assumed, is to be talked to gently. As if you were talking to a wounded dog. It all came down to patience and ease.
"Yes, I am in love with your sister. I tell her every day. Just like I've been telling you to keep Debra from eating your food. Right James? I've asked you before." He said calmly, placing tea in front of his friend. James looked up slowly, making eye contact with the sandy-haired man before lifting the cat from the table.
"Rem... why are you talking to Jamie as if he's five?" Renee hung up her scarf and jacket. Looking between her brother and boyfriend. "If you wanted a baby, I could've asked Molly if she had one to spare." A kiss was placed upon James' head and another on Rem's cheek.
"I think our timetable is quite full." James snickered as he lowered a spoon to the cat. A little chicken noodle wouldn't hurt her.
"He talks to me like that because he knows that if he's mean to me, I won't give him my blessing." Renee smacked the back of his head when she saw him attempt to give the cat his soup bowl. "Renny!"
"Blessing? What would I need your blessing for?" Remus stood warily, looking at his friend and girlfriend. Ren stood over her brother, hands on the back of his chair. Her jaw clenched.
"I don't know Rem; James already knows we're trying out a more modern relationship." Remus turned away, turning on the kettle once again.
"Yeah, no kids, no marriage. You two are like glorified roommates."
"Isn't marriage that anyways? Glorified roommates?" Remus shot back, suddenly feeling overwhelmed. He didn't like when James started commenting on their relationship. He thought it was just perfect the way it was. However, James always wanted them to do more. Be more. Maybe because twins shared a certain connection. But Remus never thought that he'd be dating both Potter twins. Then again, James was there a lot more than Renee was anyway.
"Sorry, from now on I'll refer to you as my roommate." Renee laughed and hugged him from behind. Her chin barely reached his shoulder. She thanked him when he handed her some tea.
"How was training?" James asked as his sister sat at the table across from him. Quickly followed by the werewolf.
"It was alright. Alice is wonderful, I now understand how she was able to skip the three years. She only had to do six months of it. That's truly amazing." The two Gryffindors nodded to Ren's raving, fully aware of Alice Longbottom's skills.
"Knock, knock!" Lily poked her head through the front door, "Oh, James. I didn't know you were here. I figured they would want to be alone. But it makes sense because you weren't home." She walked in, Sirius following shortly. The trio stood to welcome the two. The Black made a sour face at the cat who hissed as she saw him.
"I see you still haven't lost Debra. What a shame." Sirius scowled, placing an arm around Renee's chair. She elbowed him and looked back at her sister-in-law.
"We wanted to wish you a 'happy birthday' since you won't be here." She motioned for Remus to stand up. Which he did, accepting her hug. Lily then returned to her spot, standing next to James, who gave Sirius his seat.
"Yeah, and I came to get my bed all nice and used," Sirius stated, grabbing a small suitcase from his pocket, and casting a non-verbal spell on it. It grew and he smiled.
"I don't leave until tomorrow. You don't have to keep us company tonight." The oldest man smirked, looking back and forth between the couple.
"Don't worry. I'll wear earplugs."
✿
"I don't understand why you must leave for full moons now. We have a forest in our backyard." Renee stated, folding laundry on their bed. Remus removed his shirt, walking into the room from the attached bathroom.
"Order business, you know that." He grabbed the pile of clothing and placed it on the dresser. He caught her face in his hand, lifting her jaw to look him in the eyes.
"The Order sucks. Your birthday is the day before the full moon. I don't like that you're gone for four days. No way of knowing if you're coming back." Remus lowered himself onto the bed and brought her face to meet his. They kissed eagerly. Not missing an ounce of passion. Renee pulled away, lifting her wand from where she left it on the mattress. "I can't believe we own a house and still have to use silencing charms." She muttered the charm and got up. The man lay down, his head on the pillows.
"C'mere."
