Neither Would Renee

"You're being stubborn, Renee." He leant close to her face, brushing her matted hair out of the way. Her eyes were trained on the wall behind him. Not giving him the satisfaction. She still didn't understand how someone could get him out of Azkaban. Moody sent him away after they found Remus. And now Renee was in his position. Tied to a chair, in what seemed like a basement. Wet, concrete floors and hardly any natural light. It had a musky smell to it as if they were in the middle of the woods. The one window was covered in a gross green goo. The chair beneath her was splintering. Probably wouldn't last much longer.

"You can eat shit, Wilson." Renee was covered in dirt and blood. Thankfully, it was her own, she wouldn't want to be covered in Remus' or Sirius'. They were left mostly unharmed, at least that's what Matthew had claimed. She had watched as two Death Eaters knocked them out. It happened on her way back to the fence line. Matthew had attacked her from behind. That seemed like forever ago.

"I've missed you. When I found out you were going to Malfoy Manor, I just had to see you." Matthew Wilson looked the same as the last time she saw him. It was a week before the stakeout at the raid of the Yaxley household. He had been waiting for her. It seems like he always is.

Spells flew past Renny, she hid behind the door frame, cautiously entering. Gideon and a couple of Order members were already inside; Kingsley was waiting outside keeping guard with Fabian, in case they got ambushed. "Gid?" She called into the now silent house. To her right was Yaxley, on the floor out cold. She crouched down to check his neck for a pulse. It was faint. His wand found home in her jean pocket and she charmed cuffs on his wrists.

"Ren, I think I found something!" Gideon's voice rang out from up the stairs.

"One Second!" The house wasn't gigantic like the Malfoy's but it was still considerably large and decorated very posh. Once upstairs she turned down the hall, she suspected the Prewett twin to be down.

"You don't want to do that, Love." The man pulled her close, entrapping her wand arm behind her back. Renee gasped, a cold, sharp metal was jabbing into her side. "Last year I wasn't ready to see you. I was very excited and I didn't plan it well. But now, thanks to you and your mentor Alastor Moody—I've grown."

"How'd you get out, Wilson." She tried to demand but with one movement he'd have her bleeding out.

"I've got friends all over. Now, I have come up with a proposition. Your monster went back to you with one as well. However, mine only includes you. But it benefits all." His breath was hot on her neck. Knowing it wasn't Remus and was a known Death Eater made her want to vomit. "Come with me and your friends will be safe." A set of wet lips pressed against her neck, just below the ear. He hummed gently, causing the woman to gag. Before he could even react, he was on the ground. Renee had never been so thankful for Moody's insistence on hand-to-hand combat.

"Gid!" Her wand never left his direction. "Gideon!" No response from the man had Ren worried. She looked down at the wizard. "What did you do?" His lips slowly curled into a sickening smirk. Matthew Wilson was right, he had changed. She had never seen anything as deranged as him. Renee huffed, lowering her wand, and giving him a look before running down the hall.

"We'll find you, Renee. This is your only warning. I won't stop until you're gone." She didn't hear it with her ears. It felt as though he was infiltrating her mind.

"We used to be so close, Renny." A knife moved slowly on her thigh. The splitting of her skin allowed blood to spill out of it. The brunette tried not to wince. Her eyes were still trained on the wall, though one of them let a tear slip out. Renee focused on the warmth it brought to her cheek and then her chin before it dropped mixing with the blood on her thigh.

"One might think you've gone through a psychotic break, Matthew." She uttered. She knew she was making it worse for herself but she couldn't give in. The only thought she had was that she was so excited to prove Remus wrong. However, this had turned from an innocent childhood crush into a creepy obsession. But he seemingly hesitated to kill her so that's good. Wilson didn't say anything, he just turned and left the building.

Now that Renee was alone, she tried to think of her friends, her family, and her cat. How Jamie would sneak food under the table to Debra and Remus and Lily would scold him. Harry was just over a month old and his hair was growing like a weed. The little faux wand Sirius had got him only for it to be poked in his eye. Renee couldn't help the upturn of her lips. Sirius had a black eye for a week and everyone made fun of him for being bested by a baby. Her eyes closed as she thought about Remus. His response to her admitting she had thought she was pregnant. "Just because I don't want children doesn't mean I want you to keep things from me, Renny. If we got pregnant, I would do everything in my power to support you and our child. But I want you to know that I don't know what that would be. Maybe I'd become a professor. But we'd have to move to Hogsmeade because I don't think I could go a whole school year without you and I'd have to... I'm rambling." Oh, how she wished she had been pregnant.

"James, sit down."

"Sirius, if I sit down, I'll lose all of my strength and you'd be stuck listening to my sobs." The bespeckled man snapped, running a hand through his hair. The Black nodded sympathetically. "I can't lose her, Padfoot."

"I know, she'll be okay. Ren's the strongest out of all of us." The sound of Remus' scoff was almost mute. Sirius turned his attention to the werewolf with a bored look on his face. He was sitting in a chair, leant forward with his elbows on his knees. The top of his head was bandaged from the attack two days ago.

"I just can't believe you lads waited to tell me."

"We weren't going to tell you but Dorcas had brought up this kind of magic she overheard at work. It's Locator Magic, with a bit of a strong living relative's blood we could find her. Even through some types of wards." Remus stood, purposely bumping into Sirius on his way to James.

"You weren't going to tell me that my little sister is missing! That she's been captured by Death Eaters!" Potter stopped his movement. Now standing still in his living room.

"Must I remind you all that Harry is asleep?" Lily strolled down the stairs, having listened quietly at the top before. "Dorcas is performing it?" She asked now beside her husband, massaging his shoulder closest to her. Remus and Sirius both nodded, looking to their best friend.

"Okay, let's go. Padfoot, you stay here with them." James slipped a coat on, ignoring the suspicious look Remus sent Sirius. Remus was about to suggest he stay with them, but then again, would he trust Sirius to help James save Renny? Lily could hold her own against him if she had to, but he didn't think James would be able to raise a wand to battle Sirius. And to his dismay, neither would Renee.
