CHAPTER FOUR
Tess, Joel, Violet and Lily made it to the place that connects to where Robert is hiding. They opened the door and brought out their gear. Lily and Violet equipped their guns as Violet turned towards her sister,
"If anything goes south in there, you have to promise me that you will leave. I don't want to argue right now. Make your shots count."
Again Violet leaned over to Lily and kissed her forehead as she nodded. Joel watched silently, never having seen the softer side of the Blood Lily. Now realising where she had found her name. Violet eyes hardened as she turned around to the rest of them and said,
"Well? Let's go."
They walked forewords guns drawn walking down the stairs as water dripped through the tunnel. They made it to the tunnel that connects to where they need to go. And walked up the ladder to find the door, Tess walking through first as Violet cased her surroundings.
Tess screamed as she turned to see an infected connected to the wall. Violet jumped turning her gun towards where Tess stood. Lily shook next to her as Violet calmed her by speaking,
"This one is done. It can't hurt you Lil—"
Lily cut her off, turning towards her sister as Tess and Joel had their own conversation.
"I know— Just fucking freaky."
Violet chuckled bumping her shoulder with her sisters as they continued climbing up another ladder. Tess spoke quickly,
"This— this opens into the ha-hallway. What the fuck did someone put a piano in front of this?"
Violet sniffed the air as Joel spoke glancing at her as they thought the same thing,
"You smell that?"
Violet replied quickly,
"Yeah... Gunpowder."
As she cocked her gun and they all looked down to find blood spurting out from under the door. Violet turned to her sister and motioned her to stay behind her. Tess opened the door as they all walked inside guns at the ready. Violet sighed when she saw Robert dead body fall to the floor. The hallway was littered with bodies Lily cried out as Violet looked down and saw her supplies and the car battery sitting on the floor. Violet looked at the battery and spoke quickly,
