Where the roots are running deep. Where all that is famous is mostly criminality and gangs. Where the docks are the most valuable possession. And where it all began for the Cosmos Summoner. Where a new family has taken her in as their own and formed a strong bond. But it is not as they have left it. It has changed in their absence and turned over. A new leadership has taken over and declared himself as King. But Kings have no place here, thieves do. And at their arrival, unpleasant surprises awaited them. And new alliances were formed and made. And now, as the odds have seemed it fit, they hide wherever they can as the Crow Club is no more. Taken by Pekka Rollins. He owns everything now and he is feared and respected among many. The Crows and the Serpents have already faced trouble and running for their lives or fighting the Stadwatch that wanted the Crows arrested for murder. But sadly, the Serpents weren't near to help them, they wandered off to find a place to stay instead in an unknown city based on an never before visited island.
Apart from the pleasures and gangs and drunks that gambled away their money and lives, many have fled into the illusion of a perfect life after the events at the Shadow Fold. And the chatter became louder and louder about the Sun Summoner either being a refugee or died within the Fold alongside the Darkling, and many believe, it should've been that way. They wanted them both dead. Seen as accomplices that wanted all the power for their own gain and own satisfaction, whereas the whispers of the unknown force and the unknown Summoner are quite the opposite.
Even in Ketterdam some believed it is a punishment of all the gods that exist, enraged by the greed and selfishness of the two rarest Grisha. Though the unknown hero had vanished with them, and many none believers still hesitate to believe it is legit, they do not dare, deep within, to speak of them.
With the hood over her head, covering her locks and the single white strand, her piercing, crystal blue eyes are fixed upon the street up ahead. Some clinging can be heard in her brown leather bag, but the girl is way too deep in her thoughts, memories of the events plague her mind and she cannot reckon the last time she had had a light sleep or an actual freshly cooked meal. Though the streets were dark, lifeless and grim, the sun shun right onto her soft mocha skin and she felt a little tingle, whether she now resented the sun or she welcomed it couldn't be exactly told. Her face was dark, no expression to be seen. But when she did think of the sun she avoided to admit that it reminded her of the Sun Summoner, Alina, and that thought stirs up something within her that cannot be just simply called 'hate'. With restless footsteps, she marched further and further, echoing voice of her friend, she had considered a sister, stuck in her mind.
"Only a monster can deal with another monster." Raven had proclaimed to her, when they searched the unconscious guard by the tent for the keys of the chains in their attempt to rescue their friends. She remembers her heart clenching in that moment. She couldn't understand why Raven would refer to herself as a monster, and perhaps, just in that moment, she feared her friend is losing her way. She huffed, blinking away the tears that formed in her angry stare when she suddenly felt a hand placed on her shoulder and she harshly spun around, grabbing a knife in her hand and pointed it at the individuals throat.
He rose his hands. "Wow, I thought you had expected my visit." He said almost in a sarcastic manner.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to sneak up on me, Jesper." She groaned annoyed, rolling her eyes and marching again forward.
Jesper throttled along. "Well, someone woke up grumpy today. Bad sleep?" he asked, keeping behind her.
She rolled her eyes to face him over her shoulder. Can he keep quiet for just a second, she thought, but she didn't say it out loud. Instead, she took a deep breath in to calm herself before she diverted her focus back on the streets. "I have herbs and other things to collect, preferably, undetected."
