Saturday, 11:00AM, Break has begun
It was silent for a minute, but it almost felt forced. Almost as if Cal, who was crouching to the right of me, so we were not in view of the front door, had pushed the responsibility of "the talker" to me. Though I still had feelings for the guy, they had kind of soothed. Like I still kind of liked him, but not really. Whenever he spoke though, it felt like I had just started liking him.
"So, this whole Vienna thing is pretty big." I don't look at him, in fact I'm staring at a row of glass cups. They looked special, almost gifted. I hold one in my hand, while Cal replies to me.
"I think it's just between us, honestly. You...and me." Cal was staring at my eyes now, his hand creeping towards mine. Just then, I hear Alexandria's voice.
"OMG hi Vii!" I was careful to not peak over the counter. It needed to be a surprise.
"Hey Lexie! Cool house! I love purple!" Of course she does; she's the queen of evil. This thought brought many more to mind. I begin having the flashbacks which I most feared. Alvia getting thrown into the wall. The satisfying sound of the chair hitting shadow man. The injuries. Ivy being captured. It Was All. Her. Fault. Something shattered within me, and I had the sudden urge to throw the glass cup, which was warming up in the palm of my hand, straight at this girl's head. Then, I did something no one would ever think to do if they were thinking. I did it.
"You snake!" I yelled as the cup releases from my hand and heads straight for Vienna's head. The cup stills in the air, about 6 cm from Vienna's head. Then, it falls to the floor. Telekinesis. Cal grips my hand and I see a look of worry form on Alexandria's face.
"You should not have done that, Scar," he whispers to me, and takes big steps towards Vienna. I do the same. Before long, we were surrounding her.
"What is your problem? Why are you guys trying to kill me?" Vienna looks straight in my eyes, and I stare back, challenging her.
"Don't play dumb, you bimbo, we know you're part of the Neverseen." I stare more intensely harder at her. She was not going to get away. I see a tear leave her eye. She turns to Alexandria.
"Lexie, I thought we were friends. I'm not part of the Neverseen. You guys are crazy." She looks back at me, her emotion changing to a set face, "I guess that happens when you hang around people that should be in asylums."
"Zip it, Vienna. We know, okay." Alexandria's voice begins to rise. "And don't even think about phasing because you are surrounded by some of the most powerful elves in the elvin world." The confidence in her voice makes me feel accused. Vienna looks to the ground, letting another teardrop fall. I see a smile spread across her face.
"Guess I'm going to have to kill you now."
