The Brave Slytherin

The Date

Today is the day. I'm going on a date with Draco today. I've already had all my classes today, so now I'm just getting ready  to be picked up by Draco. I still have about half an hour and just as I was about to finish my hair, Mattheo walked in. 'Why are you dressed so nice?' He asked. 'I'm about to go on my date with Draco.' I could talk around it to not get him mad, but he told me he would be supportive, so I just told him the truth. 'Oh, yeah, right.' That's all? He's not cursing or anything? I guess he really is supportive. 'When are you leaving?' He asked me. 'In about half an hour, why so?' 'Because you have some explaining to do.' He said with a bit of an angry tone. I had no idea what he was talking about, so I just asked him: 'What do you mean?' 'Why the hell didn't you tell me that Romeo and Juliet ends in a double suicide?!' I started laughing. 'I'm sorry Mattheo hahaha. I just didn't want to spoil the book for you.' 'I was rooting for them! Why did they just kill themselves in the end?!' 'I think it's kind of a beautiful sentiment. Dying for the one you love.' 'Would you do that? Give up your own live for someone elses?' He asked me. 'Yeah I think I would, for the right person. I've always been scared to die, but if it could save the person I love most, than I would do that.' 

The conversation went quiet when there was a knock at the door. Mattheo and I talked a lot, so before we knew it, it was 6 o'clock already. Mattheo opened the door and looked at Draco angrily, but he didn't say anything. I said goodbye to Mattheo and walked out with Draco, of to our date. I still had no idea where we were going, but after a little while, I realised where we were going. We were on our way to the three broomsticks. We went there to have some dinner. I know I went here last night as well, but Draco didn't know, so I'm happy he chose a more public place for our first date. After we sat down at the table, we started talking about anything and everything. We talked about the upcoming quidditch game and we talked about our favorite classes. We had a lot of fun together and I realised that it wasn't a mistake to go on a date with Draco. This was the first time in a long while, I hadn't thought about Mattheo at all and I think this could work to get me over Mattheo for good. 
When we had finished eating, we walked back to Hogwarts, while just talking some more. Just before we went inside the castle Draco and I turned to eachother. Before I could say anything more, he kissed me. I kissed him back and so we stood there making out for a couple minutes. After we pulled apart, we held hands while walking towards the commonroom. The moment we stepped into the room, we said goodnight and we went to our own rooms. 

I walked into mine and I saw Mattheo talking to Theo. I said hello and they both turned to me and instantly went quiet. Theo got up, asked me how my date was and when I said I had fun, he said that he was happy for me, before he left the room. 
Mattheo on the other hand didn't look as happy. But, his frown turned into a smile the moment he noticed me looking at him. I didn't want to bother him with talking about Draco, so I just asked him: 'Are you feeling a bit better about Romeo and Juliet's ending?' 'No, I still hate it. But, I started reading The Fault in Our Stars, so hopefully that will be better.' 'I hope so too.' I said while smiling, knowing that he wouldn't like that ending either.
