Y/N POV-
My mind was somewhere else, I didn't care about anything else than Ao'nung's well being.
I felt someone snap their fingers in front of my eyes and I got out of my trance.
"What?" I say, confused.
In front of me, I had my whole family looking at me, worry in their eyes.
Except my dad, he looked mad.
"Where the hell were you girl?! You want to be grounded for life?" Dad asked annoyed.
"Uhhh.. I was... slamming the jam?" I said nervously with a half smile.
"You don't even know what that means!" Dad yelled.
I huffed, "Well, you say it sometimes!" I said annoyed.
"Do you even know what you risked?! The chief's son is unconscious right now because of your reckless behavior!" Dad yelled in my face.
I tried to stay strong, I really tried.
"I'm.. sorry" I said weakly.
"Yeah, you better be sorry" Dad said and he walked out. Mom quickly followed behind him
I felt a pair of hands embrace me, it was Lo'ak.
"I'm here.. you're alright" he said softly.
That's right, I almost forgot.
It was always Lo'ak and I against the world. He will always have my back.
Then I felt Tuk hug me by my waist.
"At least you're okay Y/N!" she said with a smile.
Then Kiri and Neteyam joined the hug.
I always thought I was a screw up, that I genuinely forgot that these four didn't think that, at all.
I lightly smiled and relaxed my figure.
And shortly after, I felt myself drifting off to sleep.

Ao'nung POV-
I fluttered my eyes open and I felt pain in my leg, it wasn't horrible but it was there.
I groaned as I slowly sat up.
"Ao'nung! You're awake!" I heard Tsireya say. I looked at her, my parents were nowhere to be seen.
And then I started to remember everything that happened to me.
The akula.. Y/N.
"Y/N! Where's Y/N? Is she alright?" I said as I tried to stand up, but Tsireya kept me on the ground.
"Ao'nung you're hurt, stay here" Tsireya said, but I wanted to see her.
And almost on cue, someone barged into the hut. I looked up and saw her.
"Sorry.. for coming in like that" Y/N said before looking at me, her face lit up.
"Ao! You're alright!" She said as she walked up towards me. She wanted to keep distance to be respectful.
But I wasn't having any of it.
I grabbed her arms and pulled her to my body, embracing her.
"I'm glad you're alright Y/N.." I said with a light smile.
I didn't miss the look my sister gave me as she stared at the scene in front of her.
But I couldn't care less, Y/N was alright. I managed to protect her.
