Little: Dream (5-2)
Cg: George
Others: Sapnap

Tw/Cws: Separation anxiety, Breakdown (just crying), feeling overwhelmed, fear of abandonment.

Plot: Dream gets overwhelmed and his separation anxiety spikes, making him break down and fall asleep in Georges bed, but the day is saved when George gets home.

This is inspired by me once taking my sisters hoodie while she was over and telling her it smelled like her - which smells like rainy days and flowers in the sun

Dream sighs as he pulls Georges hoodie over his head. A sense of calmness washes over him and all his worries melt away.

He takes a deep breath and smiles a watery smile. It smells like Georges cologne, like flowers, roses and daisys. It smells like rainy days and sunshine. It smells like George, like home.

He exhales shakily. Despite his newfound comfort, he hasn't forgotten the reason for his small breakdown.

Dream squeezes his eyes tightly when fresh tears prick the corners of his eyes, allowing the tears to fall freely down his face.

He's been staring at this screen for half a hour and he hasn't even gotten far in the editing process of this video.

Nothing is going right today.

First, he woke up exhausted after a sleepless night of tossing and turning. Then, he dropped his breakfast on the floor and lost his appetite. And lastly, the bright screen of his pc is giving him a migraine and he can't bare to stare at it any longer.

He's lalready overwhelmed and incredibly tired and it's only two in the afternoon.

Dream lets his head fall into his arms which are resting on the desk. He needs a nap and possibly... No, most definitely George

George isn't home.

The thought makes Dream even more frustrated with himself, he told George that he'd be okay by himself for the day that morning. Stupid big Dream and his stupid decisions.

Dream counts to five aloud, his mental age, and stands up. He's very wobbly but he needs to move away from his dreaded desk.

He subconsciously makes his way to Georges room, immediately feeling lighter despite the fact that his beloved caregiver is nowhere to be seen. That's okay, maybe. No it isn't okay but Dream would be fine without George for a few more hours. (would he?)

He searchs around the room and hums lowly. Everything is just how George left it, good.

His desk is messily organized, some clothes are on the floor, and his bed is unmade. Just how George likes it which makes it how Dream likes it.

Dream waddles in and quickly spots a discarded hoodie on the floor. It's one of Georges, Dream saw him wearing it that morning.

Dream gingerly picks up the hoodie and smells it to make sure it has Georges comforting smell on it.

Dream sits on Georges bed carefully, trying to not mess up Georges neat mess as he moves around.

Dream leans against Georges, technically his, pillows and lets out a frustrated sigh. He wants George here with him.

He shakes his head, shooing away the selfish thoughts. George can't be with him all the time just because he wants him there. He needs to go away sometimes and Dream needs to learn that.

Dream is a big boy, he can handle the mean thoughts. They don't hurt.

Uh huh, sure.

He sniffles pitifully and wipes at his eyes aggressively. A soft sob pulls itself from his throat and he can't choke it back.
