Dream knows he isn't a party person.
He's known since he was younger. He would always put up such a fight when his parents forced him to Christmas parties and birthdays. He refused to have his own birthday parties, opting to spend his birthday in the peaceful confines of his home with his family.
He's never liked the stuffiness that parties brought. So many sweaty, dancing bodies in one room. He shudders in disgust just thinking about it.
The loud music makes his head and ears hurt and they almost never play music that he prefers, plus he's always too scared to request anything.
And Dream doesn't like being drunk around others. It makes him feel panicky. He'd much rather drink at home with his best friends where he doesn't have to worry about being judged or how he'll get home.
But when George asked, so nicely, if he'd come with him to a party. Well, Dream can never say no to George.
Which lead him into his current situation.
George is nowhere to be seen and Dream can't help but think that he should've said no to George.
The small room mixed with all the people in it makes him feel like he's overheating, suffocating. He feels too warm. Heat radiates off the crowd and it does nothing to help his slow spiral.
He needs to go outside, away from this party. He needs to find George or Sapnap, they always knew how to calm him down. Dream doesn't know how to calm himself down.
The loud music bounces off the walls which only makes it louder and he doesn't even know what song is playing and the bass guitar feels like it's thumping inside him and his ears hurt and-
Dream bumps into someone and stumbles back, his eyes widening slightly.
Before he can start rambling out apologies, he looks up at the person's face. Tina looks back at him, giving him a concerned smile.
"Tina!" He squeaks out. Tina reaches a hand out to steady him. The shot that George had made him drink when they first got there is beginning to take effect.
It was supposed to help him feel better, to take his nervousness away. It's doing neither.
"What's wrong?" Tina asks, leaning closer to be heard over the music.
Dream didn't even notice his teary eyes. "I don't like parties." He says. His voice is quiet. He wipes at his eyes selfconsciously
"Wanna go outside? I was about to leave anyway." Tina offers. She puts the cup she's holding down on a nearby table and offers Dream her hand.
He takes it hesitantly and lets Tina lead him to the exit that he couldn't seem to find earlier. He takes a deep breath once he's finally outside, relieved at the feeling of cool night air on his clammy skin.
"What about George? A- and Sapnap?" Dream asks once he's calmed down enough, looking at the door hesitantly.
He doesn't want to go back in but he can't leave them. But he doesn't want them to feel like they have to follow him, he doesn't want to pull them away from their fun. But how will they get home?
