Little: Dream
Cgs: George, Sapnap
Babysitters: Hannah, Sylvee

Tw/Cws: Nightmares, not being able to sleep, crying, fear of the dark, Implied separation anxiety (it's why he can't sleep)

Plot: George and Sapnap have to go to a work event, which leaves Sylvee and Hannah to watch over a little Dream, who can't sleep...

"Okay?" Sylvee asks as she pats the blanket that she'd just pulled up to Dreams chin. He nods, echoing her with a small,  "Okay."

"You all comfy and cozy?" Hannah smiles at him from the doorway. Sylvee had called dibs on tucking Dream in when he was finally too exhausted to stay up any longer.

They'd spent the hours after Sapnap and George left playing mario kart, because it's the only game that little Dream can play well enough, and coloring.

When he started dozing off while coloring, Hannah had suggested that it might be bedtime. Dream had whined and refused so they didn't force him.

Eventually though, he was too tired to hold up his crayon, the 'Sunshine yellow' crayon slipping from his grasp multiple times.

Dream had turned to Hannah and mumbled, "Bedtime." The word sounding so soft that Hannah cooed at him. He flushed and hid his face with his hands, dropping the crayon yet again

Sylvee had said, so excitedly, "Can I tuck you in?" And Dream nodded. He was helped up and taken to the bathroom so he could change into some pajamas, a softer sweater and some sweatpants that were a bit loose on him.

Then he was taken to his room, where Sylvee, true to her word, tucked him in.

"Comfy." Dream agrees. He opens his mouth to say something else but a yawn slips out instead, interrupting him and making the girls giggle.

"Alright, time for sleep." Sylvee pats the blanket again then stands up. Dream holds his stuffed bunny tighter, willing his eyes to stay open for just a bit longer.

"Ni ni, Han' n' S'vee." He says, mispronouncing their names terribly.

"Night night, Dream." Sylvee says, laughing. She clicks the light off and ushers Hannah out of the room. When his light is off, his nightlight flickers on so the room isn't completely dark.

Usually, his papa or dada will stay with him during the night whenever he's little. But he doesn't expect Sylvee and Hannah to do that.

He just snuggles deeper into his mattress and closes his eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep.

When Dream wakes up, it's dark in his room.

He's been woken up by a nightmare that he doesn't fully remember. He can't recall what it was about or what really happened in it but he knows that it was dark, really really dark.

Despite not remembering the bad dream clearly, he's still been left with fear coursing through his veins. It makes his chest feel tight and the darkness in his room doesn't do much to make it better. There's his dim nightlight by his door but it doesn't even really provide much light and he's scared.

When he has scary nightmares, his papa and dada are always here to comfort him. But as he looks around, he can't find either of them.

In his hazy and fuzzy brain, he can only come to one conclusion.

The monster from his dream must've taken them.
