Victor went back to the mainland to continue his gym challenge. After walking east for a bit he sees two Team Yell punks harassing a man with a odd-looking bike.

Punk: C'mon just give us that bike!

Man: Why? You don't even have a Rotom.

Other Punk: We're going to use that bike to chase gym challengers so they get all tired and can't battle anymore!

Victor: Oi punks! Stop harassing him or else.

Punk: Or what?

One punch to the face later.

Other punk: Y-y-you can have the bike but this won't be the last time you'll hear of team yell!

After the punks leave the man gave Victor the Rotom bike.

???:Nice work beating them.

Victor: What are you?

???: I'm a spritzee and I want to go with you.

Victor: Ok

One week later the group arrived in Hulbury

While wandering across the town he noticed a large group surrounding a man wearing some seriously casual clothing. Standing near him is Bede and a woman who is trying to keep the crowd under control.

???: Now everyone the chairman is very busy and can't take anymore autographs today.

Rose: No wait I can still take more autographs.... 😮‍💨. Oleana why'd you scare of our fans like that.

Oleana: Having fans is good which is why you need to keep up the good work, for their sake.

Rose: Your right thanks Oleana for the help.

Bede: I'm helping you too Mr Chairman!

Rose: Thank you for your help uhhhhhhh

Bede: Bede, sir.

Rose: Ah yes Bede thank you.

As Bede leaves Rose notices Victor

Rose: You're challenger Victor correct?

Victor: Yes sir.

Rose: I've been meaning to see what Leon saw in you so after you obtain your gym badge go to the local seafood restaurant and I'll treat you to dinner.

Victor: Alright

The gym test was to navigate a maze of pipes and trainers which Victor did successfully. After the maze, Victor stepped out onto the stadium where the gym leader stood.

Nessa: You have done well gym challenger however your gym challenge ends now.

Nessa first sent out a Goldeen while Victor sent out Vanilla.

Victor had vanilla summon ice attacks while also dealing with Water pulses from The Goldeen.

Goldeen fainted

Victor switched vanilla out with Sloflo
while Nessa sent out a arrowkuda.

Sloflo acted faster and tri attacked the arrowkuda.

Arrowkuda fainted

Nessa: Looks like I'm on the ropes, luckily I saved the best for last.

Nessa dynamaxes her last pokemon Drednaw.

Victor: Alright Colory time for a dynamax......huh?

For some reason the dynamax band was glitching out and wouldn't dynamax.

Victor: Doesn't matter Colory helping hand.....WAIT DON-

Colory used helping hand.
Nothing happened.

Nessa: Drednaw, Max geyser

A blast of water nearly defeats Colory but he still hangs on. Victor actually dynamaxes Colory. Before Colory could even use a max move Nessa's Drednaw used max strike and fainted Colory. Colory is recalled back to her ball that then shatters.

Victor: C-c-Colory?!?

Victor then sent out Cindy.

Victor: C'mon we can do this. Cindy double kick.

Before Cindy could act the Drednaw moved faster and used a max strike. Cindy hung on luckily but was seriously injured. Because the Drednaw used 3 max moves it reverted back to it's original size.

Victor: C'mon Sloflo we can do this use water pulse.

Sloflo managed to land a water pulse but one crunch from the Drednaw was enough to faint Sloflo. Like Colory, When she returned to her PokeBall the ball shattered.

Victor:( What's going on? Why are my PokeBalls breaking?) Looks like I must use my secret weapon.

Victor sent out a Wartortle.

Mustard: Victor would you take care of this Squirtle?

Victor: Sure thing.

After a lot of exp candies, Owen evolved into a Wartortle.

Present day

Victor: Alright Owen use water pulse.

Owen launched multiple attacks at the Drednaw but one hit from a Razor Shell was enough to deal some serious damage. Not wanting to lose another ally, Victor swapped out Owen for Lola.

Victor: Lola, Bulldoze.

Lola bounced up and down on the ground causing a tremor to attack the Drednaw.

Drednaw fainted.
