Saya and Ochako shared a small fist bump as the walked with the rest of Group A to the buses that would serve as their transportation to the fake cities.

"Do you think Shinso will be okay he was pretty irritated before we seperated," Ochako said as she glanced over to where Shinso's group was waiting by their buses.

Saya only nodded in response since she knew why Shinso was more on edge than normal. A combonation of being in the same group as Katsumi and the fact that they were unsure of what Nezu had in store for the practical exam. She knew that either her Dad or Nezu had purposely placed Shinso with the angry ash-blonde girl but couldn't think of any particular reason why with the exception of damage control in case something happened.

"Oh hey it looks like we have that blue haired guy in our group," Ochako laughed as she looked between the rest of the exam takers.

"Hooray," Saya sighed in her monotone voice.

Before the staff announcer could even say "Start" Shinso had taken off into the fake city as soon as the metal barrier opened up wide enough to let himself through. Ignoring the baffled cries of the other exam takers behind him Shinso began taking down one robot after another with the capture scarf he made a habit of always wearing thanks to his Dad. It was about thirty seconds and ten points later that he heard the soft crackling sound of sparks that he had been waiting for. Confirming his suspicions an ash-blond girl with her face stuck in a permanent scowl rushed past him and began using her quirk to blow up a robot.

"Hurry up and follow those guys what are you waiting for? There are no start signals in an emergency!"

Shinso smirked as he heard the rest of the participants begin to flood into the fake city. By what he had counted he was leading the group by 15 points while Katsumi was catching up with 8. "Let's see what you got!"

Katsumi Bakugo couldn't help but feel even more irritated, somehow she could only keep getting angrier, as she chased after the trail of destruction left behind by the purple haired boy that continued deeper into the fake city. If someone wanted the most points they needed to get away from the crowd and go for the groups of robots roaming around towards the city center but it looked like someone else also had the same idea. Based on the point values on the robots she had turned to scrap metal Katsumi already had a solid 45 points and it had only been five minutes since the start of the exam with another ten to go. If she kept up the pace she would have at least over 100 points even if she spent time searching for robots.

"How is the damn hobo extra doing better than me? If I had known we could use gear I would have just blown up the whole damn city and gotten all the points before anyone else!"

A soft mechanical whirling noise made Katsumi snap out her of inner monologue as she stopped in the middle of an empty street. There were at least a few robots in hiding waiting to ambush her at any given moment. With a feral grin she began to make sparks from her hands when she noticed movement out of the peripheral of her vision. She jumped forward and used a small explosion to spin around and destroy a robot that was sneaking up on her into tiny pieces with an explosion to its midsection. Without warning three more rushed towards Katsumi with the goal of either rending her unconscious from their harmless tazers, courtesy of Nezu, or at least do some damage with low powered lazers that would leave minor burns at worst, an idea Saya herself brought up.

"So that's the Katsumi they were talking about, lacking in any technique but her raw power is impressive," Shinso thought to himself as he watched the explosive quirk user turn the robots into scraps from the roof of a nearby building. Currently he was sitting at 90 points and was in the process of hunting for more when he decided to backtrack and observe the rest of the participants. "Well if I want to stay in the top 10 I better keep going."

"We have a rather impressive batch this year!"

The booming voice of a muscular titan rang out in the observation room where Nezu, most of the general study's staff, and the newest member of the hero course teachers: All Might sat.

"I might have to make the robots sturdier if they kids are this strong already." Power Loader mused as he watched the future heroes tear through his creations, "Although with the new additions to them they put up a much better fight now compared to a few years ago."

"That boy with the capture scarf fights exactly like you Eraserhead," All Might noted the way the purple haired teen used the capture scarf and his own physical strength to take down the robots.

Eraserhead's prideful smile was hidden beneath a capture scarf of his own, "He still has a long way to go but with the proper guidance he may even surpass me in the future."

"That girl with the explosion quirk is also doing quite well in Group C her quirk is strong and flashy. Perfect for hero work," one of the staff members spoke up.

"Indeed, with a quirk like that it can also be dangerous but she has good control over it. Certainly a great hero in the making!" It was All Might's turn to beam with pride.

"We do have many amazing exam takers this year but let's put them to the test," Nezu held his usual smile as he pushed a button on the control panel.

"With only a minute left let's see how they deal with a crisis situation."
