The staff as well as many of the heroes in the observation room turned to look at Nezu with bewildered and questioning stares. Nezu only smiled back at them as if the robot he just released was part of the normal selection of Zero Pointers that had several safety features installed so that it wouldn't accidentally fatally injure a student. The robot that was just released was a failed creation of the Safety Commission designed to combat National level threats or the equivalent of one of the top 10 heroes in terms of raw strength.
"Nezu are you serious? Those are only children, it took Endeavor and Hawks working together to even scratch one of these things during its test run!" All Might shot up at the sight of the robot, he was quite familiar with its power since he himself had helped design it.
"There is no need to panic everyone, especially you All Might and Midnight," Nezu laughed as the two heroes were about to rush out to the fake city. "It's a bit early but I would like to introduce you all to the newest member of the U.A. staff who will be in charge of Project Fenrir under the supervision of Eraserhead and I."
"Principal Nezu I understand she's strong but this is still a bit much, what if the other exam takers get hurt?" Midnight protested despite the confidence she had in her niece's abilities.
"It's alright we planned for this together," Nezu smiled as he moved the cameras to center on an expressionless girl with long black hair and crystal blue eyes. "All Might I would like you to meet Saya Inari who as part of her work with Project Fenrir will be helping you teach heroics."
----------------
"Uncle Nezu we did not plan for this!" Saya cursed under her breath as she raced across the rooftops.
The other participants had promptly decided that running as far away from the giant red robot that screamed danger was the best idea for their survival. Saya would have done the same if it wasn't for the several cries for help that she could barely make out above the sounds of the robot's rampage. She had already managed to recover two people who had been injured during the stampede and took them a safe distance away from the robot's path. Now Saya had returned to find the last person she faintly heard call out before.
"-ya where are you?"
"Oh you're kidding me!" Saya recognized the voice and ran even faster toward the direction it had come from.
In the distance a panicking Ochako was running away from the robot while frantically doing her best to avoid the falling debris. "Saya where are you?"
"I won't make it in time, I'll have to use it even if I get in trouble later!"
Saya took a deep breath as a black aura began to extend around her body. The world slowed down to a crawl as all her senses went into overdrive and a special aspect of her quirk activated. To Saya it was as if she could see the entire world around her from the third person but with an odd x-ray or inverse like filter. However the special aspect came with the fact that she could see and feel the location of people or at least what Saya assumed were people's souls. When she had tested it with Nezu and Aizawa in the prior months it looked like people had a weird floating orb inside of themselves. That was also when she discovered that she could interact with the floating orbs much to the horror of Ectoplasm who said he felt as if Saya was ripping out his very soul. In front of her Saya could see Ochako's soul that was somehow as bubbly in personality as she was. Beyond her were six more souls four of which she recognized and two of which she didn't also being assulted by the Zero Point Robots. Saya swore she could hear Nezu's laughter in her head as she faced the situation head on.
"Show them what a hero is Inari!"
Saya vanished and reappeared next to Ochako in a single moment before unslinging the black rectangle she had been carrying. A series of mechanical clicks and whirls came as the black rectangle began to unfurl itself into its true form. Two serrated blades folded out into a cresent shape with the dull ends connecting to a black pole that extended until it came to a stop with a satisfying click. What was once just a negligible accessory was now a black scythe nearly twice the size of Saya herself and rested perfectly in her practiced hands.
"Saya?" Ochako stared at the black haired girl with a mixture of fear and awe.
"Don't worry Chako," Saya slid into a stance with her scythe poised for a strike, "I am here."
"Dead Master's Call!"
The entire world held its breath as the blades of Saya's scythe left a flash of light where it had come down in an arc. At first it was a soft sound close to a twinkling noise but it soon became a cacophony of shattering glass as the air pressure cause the rest of the standing buildings's glass to burst in a rain of dangerous yet beautiful crystals. The rest of the world's symphony rushed in as the melody of crashing debris and metallic resonance from the collapsing Zero Point robot filled the two girl's ears. Ochako stumbled backwards and released a shaky breath that she hadn't realized she was holding. A wave of indescribable emotions crashing into her like a tsunami as she stared at a surreal sight that would forever be ingrained into her mind.
Saya stood with her back towards the brunette her raven black hair flailing in the rushing stream of air. Her scythe embedded into the concrete beside her as the clouds parted in a straight vertical line revealing the beautiful cerulean sky above. A rain of glass that sparkled in the afternoon sun like small crystals being sprinkled from the heavens while the Zero Point Robot collapsed into two seperate pieces with a tremendous crash. Ad the dust and smaller debris began to kick up into the air from the impact Ochako could remember Saya's glowing blue eyes as she turned with the same icy expression that was permanently on her face. A single word came to mind as the darkness began to eat away at the corner of the brunette's vision.
Hero.
