Straddling on the back of the winged creature, Neteyam skillfully held onto his Ikran, taking control in steering it to fly upwards. Zen soared across the open sky, the multicolored hues of its wings casting shadows in the sky and Pandora's otherworldly landscape below. The abrupt pressure of being lifted off the ground caused Saraïyah's eyelids to be glued shut as her heart briefly felt heavy. With her front pressing against Neteyam's bare back, her hold gradually tightened around him.
His inside snapped.
Mother Eywa. Is it even possible for someone's heart to beat at this rate? Neteyam swallowed, hard. The little objects in her top that are pricking his skin should be his main concern, but instead, his mind is preoccupied with something else.
Somewhere dangerous.
His longing to relive their moment in the forest would definitely come true should she be able to read his racing mind. For his life, he prayed that she couldn't. Neteyam suppressed his thoughts since he was able to sense her distress.
"Pretty girl?" He called out to her. Now that it is flying more calmly, the Ikran is soaring straight ahead.
Her reaction was predictable, given that this was her very first time flying above the clouds. As half Omatikaya, he wanted to share part of the culture with her.
Saraïyah didn't do anything other than hum in response; she still hadn't opened her eyes yet, allowing her heart to settle after the rush.
"Are you okay?" He placed his hand on hers and attempted to comfort her by softly massaging it.
"I just need a second. Heck." Saraïyah took a deep breath, she was starting to feel much better. Finally, she lifted her head and slowly opened her eyes while blinking to adjust her blurry vision, and then moved away from him in a startled manner.
As soon as contact was lost, Neteyam winced. Her arms encircling him and warming his bones is a sensation he was cherishing. Her fingers were cold against his flushed skin. It felt nice, and he hoped that she wouldn't take them away. But nonetheless, he is happy with her recovery.
"Look, it's a nice view."
Thus, their exquisite surroundings welcomed the water goddess. She exclaimed in awe as she drew in the scenery; it was magnificent and heavenly. The sky was merely a canvas of light that creates a new scene in a matter of seconds and is adorned with thin, fluffy clouds that came in various shapes and colors and were drifting apart. Speaking to her, the sky appears to be aware of all of her thoughts, dreams, darkest hidden fears and secrets.
From this height, she had a wide field of view and could see their village, the turquoise sea, and the towering mountains. The villagers were going about their daily activities; some were simply swimming, some were fishing, and some were having a blast with their companions.
