The first date

Taehyung and you started dating officially right after your grandmother left. He confessed. You confessed as well and you two established that you're a couple now. But your first official date didn't happen until a week later.

As scheduled, Jeobam's surgery took place on Friday the same week your grandmother left. The entire week was full of paperwork and other adjustments because the doctors were called from other states and they were to land the same day of the surgery.

You were busy with your company's work since you've been lazing around your grandmother's visit all week. There was a lot of piled up work once you fully returned to office and as Taehyung was taking days off, his workload got divided as well. So you decided to help him back at home.

He moved back to his apartment the next day and because he was kind of old-school, he insisted you guys shouldn't live together as you've just started dating. You didn't mind since you also wanted to start everything like normal couples and not..backwards.

On Friday, the stressful week ended when the two senior doctors informed you and Taehyung that the surgery went perfectly and that Jeobam is out of danger now.

They said to keep him under observation for a week more but later can be shifted to Taehyung's house after discharge. To verbalize Taehyung's relief would be underestimating what he was feeling. There, in the hospital after the surgery, he cried for an hour straight. Of course you were there to hold him in his weak moments but he needed that time alone to shed away his tears of years.

Jeobam remained under medical supervision for the next 2 days and that gave Taehyung the time to finally plan your first official date.

"I'll pick you up at 6. Be ready" he had texted you a few hours ago and now your anticipation was rising every second. You were excited to finally go out with him and see what his taste is like or how he'll plan everything.

You walked through different expensive dresses in your wardrobe but none was found suitable for tonight. They were all too shiny or very shimmery for you. But then your eyes landed on a dress you've never worn before and decided to give it a go.

It was a knee length side slit silk semi-backless dress with thin straps leading to the lower back. It hugged your curves beautifully and you paired it with casual chunky earrings and a simple neck-chain. You wore a black overcoat to shield yourself from the wind and after a little touch-up, you waited for him to come.

He came and once you saw him, your breath got stuck in your throat. He looked absolutely breathtaking with his suit and his hair and everything. You were mesmerized by him that you kept staring from time to time at him. Even when he was driving.

"You look beautiful" he said once you were sitting in front of him on your reserved table. He took you to a new restaurant that recently opened up a few blocks from your house. It was beautiful and your seat was right beside the full glass window that overlooked the city lights.

"You too. Absolutely stunning" he chuckled at your choice of words. The waiter came and took your orders. He couldn't stop stealing glances at you from the other side and as your dress was getting more attention than he was liking, he couldn't take it anymore when a man creepily smiled at you.

He stood up and took off his coat before wrapping it around your shoulders. He remained by your side for a few seconds than needed and then glared at the man eyeing you before walking back to his seat.

The poor man looked back at his untouched meal and didn't return his gaze back at you after that. You laughed at his overprotective nature which only made him furrowed his brows.
